i kept the original mantis alive throughout the entire match, playing defensively and getting my 15th kill juust in time. i’ve never gotten a perfection in any of the halo’s so far so i was stoked! no medal or commendation point, though. 
the criteria is just 15 kills and 0 deaths, right? bah!
anyway, coming here to see this forge island news has already cheered me up. well played, 343. well played.
At least you kept fighting the good fight, I was in a match where as soon as this one guy went 15-0 he went and hid the rest of the match, not really blaming him, but damn, that seems pretty weak to me, my one and only perfection happen without me even noticing it was going on, more luck than anything really.
Ya when I got a perfection it was unexpected… I am not trying to get medals and I am too busy thinking about the game to think about medals, so when it pops up I think “wow, I am doing better than I thought!”
haha yeah. it seems that’s how a lot of people get them. i couldn’t believe i’d dodged like 5 incineration canon shots and survived soo many snipes and dmr’s! that’s pretty sweet to pick one up and not even realize until the end heh. i knew i was a couple away when we were at 5 kills to win, so i charged into the enemy’s base area for 'em! all or nothing! all and nothing was the case, though. haha
Oh yeah, and to add to my one and only perfection, it was Team Slayer and there were 2 AFK’ers on the other team, so not really that BA, I am just an average player that still enjoys this franchise despite it flaws, and hope that it is still alive when I get back in Jan 2014.

My first perfection was on abandon and my gosh I destroyed a play hits of boltshot DMR campers it was perfection. Q.Q
I think I just now robbed some poor guy from getting a Perfection. He went 15 and 1 with the Wraith and I was the only person who killed him.
It was an extremely lucky long distance Incineration Cannon shot right as he was climbing into a freshly respawned Wraith.

Haha! Once upon a time on Halo: Reach I also robbed a perfection from some guy on team slayer. Map was “the cage”. I was fighting alone against 4 players and some guy was just about getting perfection. He shot me with sniper rifle so my shields went down, so i took cover and put active camo on while he was coming torwards me. Right when he was about to see me I jumped over him and desecrated him with a nasty assassination.
And it was his only death and he already had Running riot going on. I guess he was kinda pissed.

if it was a slayer game and you got 15-0 you got the perfection… but it is’t for some lame reason a medla in this game-.-

You did get the perfection.
Your commendations say 0/2, which means you’ve gotten atleast one perfection, the requirements are
1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 perfections in order to rank through the commendation, and since you require 2 perfections in order to rank it up, you’ve gotten one, and when you said you haven’t gotten a perfection before, and you have a match with the criteria in place, you got it in that match.
Sadly the medal is gone and the commendation screen flashes by quickly.
The point is though, you got the perfection.
Your stats say you have a Perfection. It may look like you were denied one but the count resets for every tier. The first tier (novice) takes only one perfection and it resets the counter for the second tier (proficient) which require two perfections…etc up to the fifth and final tier which require five perfections.
No offense meant to the OP but usally the types who get perfections are the ones who sit back and let thier team mates do all the dying.Thats why I automaticly mark them as unsporting.
oh sweet. i guess i did. i just thought the 2 required was the first tier.
nah i fought for it. i could put the game in my fileshare if you reallly want but besides not dying, it wasn’t really that impressive haha. i can’t stand to sit back and let the enemy slowly come to me. i’m all about helping my team control the advantageous areas of the map.
i do understand, though. there are many who get 15 kills and go into “PEACE OUT!” mode haha. in my case, though, i got the 14th and 15th (maybe 13th) when we needed 5 kills to win. i was up in there. 
not as much as the guys trying to rush the enemy base, but getting surrounded while in a mantis is just not going to end well haha.

That was me for 15 games. Am I really at fault though? If I stayed out there, there’s a pretty good chance I’d get killed by a oneshot weapon given to the opposing team via ordnance.
" close call " Medals were tough as it is. =S
friend got 15+ on the back of the gauss then told me (I was driving) he was going to hide for the rest of the time to get the perfection. after 5 minutes crouched at the top of the ramp of the right side blue base he was very close to getting it.
unfortunately for him I then shot down a banshee with the plasma which free falled onto the roof where he was hiding. as he -Yoink- himself with a lucky escape from a splatter. the pilot got out and just so happened to have a grav hammer. SMACK there went his perfection with 2 kills left to finish the game.
it was -Yoinking!- funny as -Yoink-.
Happened to me to yesterday. I went 15-0 in Dominion and never got my point under the perfection category. I was disappointed but the odds of me completing that mastery is a long shot anyway so I don’t mind so much haha.
You can’t get Perfections in Dominion. It has to be a slayer gametype.
