I’ve noticed that several games now I should of gotten the Perfection Weekly Challenge, and credit for my Commendations. I have yet to receive credit for either of these, even though several times I’ve gotten 15+ kills with zero deaths in a given match. This is my first post on the forums here, and I’m not sure if there is a better place to post this, so if this is the wrong place, I’d be happy to move the post.
PS: The second to last Spartan Op’s mission also glitched out on me and a friend several times, as to where a Knight teleports onto the other side of a door that does not unlock until all enemies have been killed, which can be a wee bit problematic seeing as there goes your exp, and you have to start the mission all over again.
You can only get a perfection in a slayer gametype. So, if you did it in CTF, Dominion, etc it will not count toward the commendation. That’s probably why it isn’t working.
Another possible issue could be if you’re playing BTB and get 14 kills + 1 destroyed vehicle. On the post game stats it will say you had 15 kills, but will not get the commendation. They have to be 15 actual kills.
As for Spartan Ops, a lot of people have posted about this, so I’m sure 343 is aware of it. I personally have not run across it.
Thanks for the speedy reply. I’m not sure why they are limiting it just to specifically slayer. That doesn’t make much sense to me. A perfect match is a perfect match, regardless of the variant gameplay mode. I have done it a couple of times in Slayer, but my most recent one was in Dominion, which would explain that. But still none the less, it doesn’t seem fair to limit it just to Slayer specifically. Oh well I guess. I can do it again plenty of times hah.
They’re limiting it to Slayer because the intention of NON-slayer games is not killing. The objective is rather winning via flag captures, dominating bases, skull hold times, whatever the objective is… but it’s not slaying.
So yeah, spamming in a wraith or Banshee and not contributing to the team in a non-slayer gametype should not count towards a perfection as your opponents are not 100% focused on killing you, they’re focused on the objective listed.

This is not true. I got a perfection the other day with 14 actual kills and 1 lazered banchee. My in game report said 14, post game said 15 and it counted in the commendation/weekly. I have it in my file share as “perfection” if you want to see it.

You try searching for Perfection and see what you get. Also, a lot of players will be new to the Halo series and will not know the Perfection requirements from past games. The commendation and challenge descriptions are not clear enough and need changing. They don’t mention it needs to be Slayer.

This is true, another fail by laziness on 343’s part. How hard would it be to go in and change the wording. Maybe on TU?
I guess I am just frustrated, because I have had to argue over it ‘actually being slayer only’ with so many people.
And how everything else in this game is much easier to achieve now than it use to be in previous titles. The Perfection ‘Medal’ was something not many could ever achieve and I hope it stays that way
First off, there is no Perfection medal in H4 (lol 343).
Secondly, it used to be Slayer only. I’ve read somewhere that in H4 you won’t get the medal in Dominion and KoTH, but all the rest is alright. Not sure if real but you can try with oddball as it’s really easy to get kills and not die.
