We’ve all seen the hundreds of posts by a dozen people, I mean, "Halo fans), who hate the idea of playable Elites and go so far to claim that they completely destroy the “refined” “competitiveness” of Halo’s gameplay. Obviously Halo was only made for the sole purpose of “competing” in online “tournaments” with a prize pool of $400 split between 4 “pros” and their managers.
There is nothing at all to Halo besides the “esports appeal”. Especially not the extremely well made player vs AI campaign modes (2000-2010), or the map editor mode, not even the Firefight mode is worthy enough of recognition. Everyone in the universe is excited to play Ranked modes, which is evident by the record low amount of people still invested in Halo’s “esports” branch known as “HCS”.
I also noticed there’s no reason to customize the players game avatar model known as his or her Spartan/Elite, except for the noble cause of funding microtransactions to huge megacorporations.
So here’s my solution to those that righteously demand customization equality to enforce perfect “competitive” balance:
Remove all armor pieces and armor colors, body types, voices, and replace them with bright white colors mannequins that stand out really noticeably from any multiplayer map.
I know that some players will feel upset they can no longer use their armors and color patches they spent money on, in any game mode even the casual ones, but they will be glad to give “disposable income” to a company that makes close to $100 billion a year
