Perfect Kills Are Extremely Difficult

I don’t know what it is, but I barely ever get perfect kills, especially compared to past games. Put me in any other Halo and I can get a few a game, but this game is nearly impossible. I’m lucky to get one perfect kill a game, and I’m not a bad player, I’ve has a consistent positive KDR throughout each Halo games lifespan.

I find the weapons in this game relatively inconsistent, I can almost never get a 4-shot BR kill, whether it’s a small hitbox coupled with flinch or I just suck… But I’ve asked all my friends and they have the same issue.

This game doesn’t feel like it really rewards skilled players, you almost never win a 1v2, precision kills/hits seem to be less accurate, harder to hit from behind and thrusters makes it nearly impossible to hit the final shot.

What are your experiences with this game and the precision aspects of the beta?

There are a few reasons perfect kills are hard in this game. First and foremost is the low amount of aim assist. Then there’s flinch, the fact people can thruster away, and team-shotting. And personally the vibration throws off my aim too.

How do I turn off vibration for Halo? Or is it in the system settings?

Should be in options like in past games.

When there’s more unpredictable movements, you’ll want to not hammer on the trigger as much and be extra sure your on target, those couple extra milliseconds can be all you need.

It’s easier than in Halo 1 because Halo 1 takes skill, and harder than Halo 3 since Halo 3’s BR is designed to fail even if you aim perfectly, but aside from that I don’t feel like perfect kills are that hard.

Getting a 3-shot kill with the Light Rifle scoped in is dope though.

Can’t turn off vibration right now, sadly.

Well aiming is more difficult now so it’s going to take awhile to get used to it, once you get used to it though you should be getting more prefect kills over time, haven’t found the guns to be inconsistent so far.

its extremely random

In Halo 3 you almost never got a 4 shot kill unless you were host or playing on a LAN. Plus a perfect kill should be rare it should take some skill to kill someone.

Does vibration really screw things up?

I can argue against that but this is subjective.

I take time on the last shot, but 90% of the time if you get a person to no shields, they boost out, making landing the final shot near impossible in the best of times.

The Light Rifle is a beast, I can get perfect kills with that decently enough. Definitely my favourite precision weapon.

I get them all the time.

Ive been getting quite a few, always aim for the head.
I seem to get them the most with the battle rifle. I miss the speed of the DMR.

Perfect kill and big game hunter medal

That’s moreso to do with thruster itself though lol which is a topic of hot debate.

You don’t need to aim for the head all the time, just for the 4th burst.

You dont need too, but its good practice to aim for the harder target, pays off in accuracy, i find.

I can achieve a decent 4-shot kill in Halo 3, it’s a lot easier than Halo 5.

You need practice then. Also if your teamate puts even half of one shot on a guy and then you 4shot you won’t get it.

I’m primarily speaking about 1v1’s. I can often get people down but I’m shooting them in the face but they never die, whether they’re near or far, I’m shooting at their face but feels like I’m not even hitting them.
