Here is my opinion on how to perfectly balance the Halo 5 sandbox and give every weapon a purpose:
Weapon Balancing:
-
DMR: reduce fire rate by 1-3%. increase reload time by 2-5% - BR: no changes. BR should outclass the magnum in close combat - Halo 2 BR: no changes - Magnum: magnum should take 6 headshots to kill someone instead of 5. But increase its fire rate to keep the weapon time to kill the same and making it standout among the current loadout weapons. - SMG: increase recoil. - AR: no changes - Halo: CE Magnum: no changes - Shotgun: add extra shotgun sheel in mag - Hydra Launcher: increase lock on speed slightly - Rocket Launcher: no changes - SPNKR: no changes - Sniper Rifle: no changes - Railgun: no changes - Saw: reduce recoil by 1-2% - Spartan Laser: reduce recoil drastically. increase damage by 10-25% - Frag: Reduce damage done at outer ranges of blast radius - Machine Gun Turret: increase damages by 3-5% - Storm Rifle: decrease time before overheating, making players have to burst a bit more - Carbine: increase fire rate by 2-5% - Plasma Pistol: decrease projectile speed. (Warzone Only) move spitfire to req lvl 4 and void’s tear to req lvl 5 - Brute Plasma Rifle (Spotted in Firefight Trailer): more time before overheating the storm rifle, slower fate of fire than storm rifle, much less recoil than storm rifle. - Energy Sword: decrease time between swings by 3-5% - Gravity Hammer: increase jump height from hammer jumps - Plasma Caster: increase damage by 1-3% - Needler: no changes - Fuel Rod Cannon: no changes - Beam Rifle: no changes - Plasma Grenade: no changes - Plasma Turret: increase damage by 15-25% - Boltshot: increase fire rate by 3-5%. reduce projectile speed by 5-10% - Suppressor: increase max fire rate by 10-15%. increase time before reaching max fire rate by 20-30%. - Light Rifle: increase fire rate by 1-3% - Scatter Shot: increase rate of fire by 3-5%. increase damage done by ricocheted bullets by 10-20% - Binary Rifle: reduce recoil by 5-10% - Incineration Cannon: increase radius of charged shots by 15-25% - Splitter Grenade: no changes - Splitter Turret: no changesVehicle Balancing:
-
Make all vehicles more resistant to all Loadout Weapons. Also make all vehicles more resistant to the Carbine, Lightrifle, Suppressor, Boltshot, Shotgun, Storm Rifle, Scattershot, Sniper, and Beam Rifle, Basically any weapon that shouldn’t be used to take out vehicles, should take more shots than they currently do in Halo 5 - Make the Railgun, Plasma Caster, Spartan Laser, Rocket Launcher, Incineration Cannon, Binary Rifle, and Fuel Rod Cannon do more damage to all vehicles. Basically, make weapons that should be used to take out vehicles better at taking out vehicles in Halo 5 than they currently do. - Make the Plasma Pistol’s EMP lock up the turret on all vehicles with turrets (like Warthogs and Scorpions) - The player on the turret of all warthogs needs more head protection - The plasma turret on the wraith needs to do more damage, because its bullet spread is terrible. - Mantises need armor equivalent to Wratihs - Vehicles like the Mantis, Scorpion, and Wraith should almost take no damage from tier 1 weapons, unless hit in their weak spots.Generally Balancing:
-
Add ability to survive energy sword hit by meleeing it at the right moment (Like in Reach)What do you guys think? How would you balance the game?
Seems pretty spot on doubt any changes will be made though
Why should the Magnum take two headshots to kill someone? Why do you not know what a shotgun shell is? Why do you want to nerf all other loadout weapons but keep the BR on top (and somehow beat a pistol in close range)?
I am tired of all of these rebalancing threads I feel like most of these people are just going to ruin the game if it happens.

The magnum should take 6 headshots to kill instead of 5, but should have an increase rate of fire to compensate. In other words the magnum would still have the same time to kill, but now is more unique compared to the other loadout weapons. The BR should be better then the magnum, because it is a higher req level, plain and simple. I bearly changed the dmr and smg.

None of these are good ideas.

Okay first off, you have no idea how headshots work. Headshots don’t do extra damage against shields, so the only shot that needs to be a headshot is the last. Every other shot can be a bodyshot.
Second, the magnum already takes 5 shots to kill.
Third, you’re basing things off of how they work in Warzone, and that’s backwards. Things are balanced for Arena, and then worked into Warzone.

From halo update this weak: “Ghosts of Meridian will bring with it not only new maps, vehicles, weapons, weapon skins, armors, helmets, emblems, and more, but also game updates such as Forge improvements, multiplayer adjustments for both Warzone and Arena, sandbox and weapon updates (such as Spartan Laser tuning), UI updates, and more.”

I’m sure they’ll implement your ideas, “iTz 2GodlY LWT”.

First off: Your right about the magnum. I just fixed that. I meant to say 6 shots instead of 5.
Second off: ok smart -Yoink-, you know exactly what I am taking about when I say headshots
Third: I am basing the balancing for Arena

I’m sure they took in a lot of feedback from the community, not just me. I’m simply putting out my opinion.
