Percursors? really we still havent let them them go? they are every few left and its been confermed that the flood wont be back in halo 4 and fyi the flood were some how related to the persursors and if there not back i dout there be any percursors. so the only thing we know is its eaither a bunch of PMSing forrunners or just some left over defences from the sheild world. but again i dont know just thought id throw that out there
The Precursors were a tier 0 civilization. They could be in different galaxies for all we know. So how do you know that there are barley any left?

But that’s just it. Chief eradicates the flood. Precursors come back from some neighboring galaxy to see what happened. There’s your game.

Keep in mind that that conversation happened about 100,000 years ago… and that the Primordial could have been lying. And that he was a gravemind.
And the Precursors don’t have to come back in person. They created species. They could have created an evil to test us, but that evil was trapped on a Shield World… the one the Chief happens to be going to.

Again, its not everyone’s best. It may take more effort for someone to speak it as fluently as you or me. Some… just can’t.

Thats what we will find out…
And its possible that the Precursors aren’t involved. Its just that we haven’t explored them much at all, they have so much potential for a new story. Unlike the Forerunners, who have had a lot of light shone on them with the Forerunner Trilogy.

It’s not “percursor” it’s Precursor.

The DIDACT did in-fact kill the last PRECURSOR, but that PRECURSOR was a Gravemind. It could have just been lying. Evil things tend to do that sort of thing.
There may be other Precursors but at the same time, there may not.
We might be fighting Forerunners, but who’s to say that Forerunner army isn’t taking orders from a real Precursor? We won’t know, until November 6th.

If the precursors came back, it wouldnt be trilogy, it wouldnt even be a long campaign, they were Tier 0…
