This is the meta of the game. You’ve been spamming the same sentiment everywhere. They’re definitely not retuning any weapons at this stage.

Best bet is to stick to the Super fiesta party playlist — it’s one of the most populated and you’ll get access to all the weapons, and even though precision weapons can play a big role there you can get by without ever using them if you really want.

They need to hear that one of their valued customers and long time halo fans is very disappointed in their crappy gameplay. Hopefully they’ll take this into Consideration I’m the future of halo

There’s a right way and a wrong way to get a response from anyone in life. Behaving entitled and narcissistic is definitely the latter. Each Halo game has its staple line of meta weapons. The precision weapons have always been the go to weapons for their accuracy and proficiency. The Assault Rifle is still a power house as if used correctly can kill just as quickly as the magnum or BR.

Just to let you know that the AR did in fact receive a buff already as once shields are dropped it receives a damage multiplier to headshots or “critical shots”. The BR got nerfed into the ground. The DMR rate of fire was slowed and close range fights make it harder to use. It excels at long range fights as intended however. The Carbine was given more bullet spread as well I believe.

With the above mentioned in mind, what more would you like changed in the weapon sandbox? How would you if given the opportunity to do so, better the fairness of the current available starting weapons?

I can understand to a point your frustrations with the Magnum. The other precision weapons outshined everything else in the game and so that’s where the nerf came from. The AR did receive a decent buff and I think tweaking it further would definitely put it out of balance. Every Halo has had its own go to weapon, for H3 it was the BR, for Reach the DMR/Needle Rifle. The AR was rarely used. It is effectively the same thing with the Magnum in H5. Other weapons certainly have their place but it is purely situational.

If you get some friends together create a custom game and use AR/Gunfighter Magnum starts vs AR/Magnum. Then decide if a nerf is warranted or if it is actually far closer balanced than it seems. If it wasn’t a Magnum start it would’ve been AR/BR and you’d still be able to dome people from across the map.

If there’s any weapon that deserves a rebalance to improve its capability it would definitely have to be the SMG. Now that’s a weapon that could help shift the balance in favour of automatic weapons again. Again though that’s a personal opinion.

You can literally use the magnum in most situations but not the AR. If all the maps in halo were put on random and you could only pick the AR or or the mag, you’ll pick the mag. The most iconic weapon need more screen time. The UNSC need to invest in magnums and stop making AR if their Spartans 4s are just going to use the magnum.
