Most of the ideas I see on this forums are insane and would take away from what halo should be. More aa’s, crazy points systems, armor actually doing things. Perks and different levels of aa’s!? There are a lot more but I grow angry the more I type. Thank god 343 doesn’t take suggestions from this forums or so i’ve heard they don’t. Instead of taking cod, battlefield, gears and halo reach ideas, try making something up that would make sense in halo. Personally, I don’t care if there is any new crazy ideas in halo 4. Give me any of the first 3 games with slight changes and maybe better graphics and i’ll have the time of my life.
Well, 343 has made Halo action figures. So what does that tell you? They are catering to the kids who don’t know any better. It’s the end of Halo.

I think the purpose of action figures we’re for collecting. Not necessarily “catering to kids”.
Whats wrong with having your entire shelf or cabinet filled with Spartans, Elites, Grunts, Marines, Warthogs, etc.? It shows your dedication. I don’t know how many people actually take them out and play with them, but Im guessing a lot are just collectors. They made a Halo Wars RISK Game, does that mean Halo is catering towards strategy? No.
And im actually surprised that no one has mention dinosaurs. Either them being the enemy because they’re “ancient” or using a time portal thingy to bring them back, I thought for sure we would have seen that by now.
Actually dude if you read the bulletin 343 says they do take the forums into consideration that is why they took friendly fire out of living dead thats why they are doing the team slayer vote. btw 343 is smart they know not to make the game like gears battlefield or cod. Those suggestions you are hearing are just peoples opinions and most of the time you will find people giving correct logical information on why those ideas should not be in the game. but there just posting there thoughts and putting in there 2 cents thats what these forums are for. which by your post number i see you are new here so welcome to waypoint

If you look at most of the figures you will notice they are catered to the “collector” crowd not to kids.
I actually don’t see why people are posting ideas right now. The game has been in development for 3 years, they are approaching the finalizing process, where all our wonderful trailers and Vidocs come from. Anything too big won’t even be considered, like entirely new matchmaking systems, weapons, armor, story, enemies, etc. They should wait until Halo 4 is out, get an idea of where 343i is heading for Halo 5, and then come up with ideas based on that.

Also: they released books! OMG Halo is being catered to nerds who delve too deep into stories!
Not to mention they cater to anime fans who like Pokémon and Dragon Ball and all with Legends.

Yeah man I hear you but if you go on the halo reach forum there are some post about drastically changing halo reach and its been out for over a year its just a part of the forums lol

Good. Armour Abilities are a great idea. Reach implemented them poorly? So what? Reach implemented weapons poorly, doesn’t mean we should ditch them.
And OP, hate to break it to you, but if there’s one flat-out worst idea floating round these forums, it’s to regress to a previous game instead of trying to innovate. Sure, if the innovation goes wrong, Halo may die… but when all 343 can do is remake, Halo is already dead.

Why take from reach. That was supposedly the oldest game and everything was destroyed on the planet. Make halo 4 completley new then. Take nothing from reach.

?_? actually the manga of pokemon is cool. The Pokemon actually act sorta animal like. Killing each other and stuff
and the books are a descant read. So please dont signal all who enjoy something as nerds

Dude…you’re going to tell me you completely overlooked the sarcasm in that? 
I’ve read all books (except for Glasslands and Primordium so far). And got Legends on DVD!

gameplay always overrides canon. no matter how old the game is in the game timeline they have to make it play like a game in modern times
EXAMPLE
reach besides halo wars takes place before anything in the trilogy and after reach timeline speaking is halo CE well if they went the cannon route there would only be the weapons from halo CE and would have to play just like CE but halo CE played like a game from 2001 in real world halo reach had to play like a game in 2010 get it hope this helps you out bro

Implying canon is more important than gameplay.
Implying multiplayer cares about canon.
Implying 343 can’t work AAs into the canon if they feel like it.

I understand your worries but 343 wants to do nothing but good for halo they are a new company but all of them are halo fans and they want it to succeed just as much as we do have faith in 343 and just cause the game don’t play like halo 3 does not mean they are turning there back on halo. halo has always been a game of innovation and 343 is not going to show how good they are at making games by backpacking off a old game no matter how many people loved it.
