peoples halo playstyles and mindsets

So ive been looking to bring new topics to the halo community so here is a question i have for you all that ive wanted to share for weeks now. I started playing halo with a passion for it with halo 5 ( yes, even before the helping free updates ) then the mcc , then everything else , with this i wondered for a while what everyones style and mindset was in halo 5 , do you spawn and go for the power weapon or do you have a special place in your mind that you know the enemy will be at to get kills or do you just walk around untill you find your enemy ? What is your thought process while playing halo, comment and follow, you all are great to have in this chat and this community!

My thought process is to try and predict where an enemy will be and what they will do. There’s certain routes people will always take and certain weapons or power ups they will always go for. It’s all about being aware of everything going on in the game and playing smart and capitalizing on the predictability of people and not being predictable yourself.

so if were on say high ground and you never really go for the underground entrance, go for it unless thats where someone is?

I literally keep walking circles around the map and shoot anything wearing a different color. with out an objective I am, well i wouldnt say useless as I still get plenty of kills but I’m kind lost in a way. in warzone I’ve always got my targets so I know exactly what I’m doing. I’ll spawn explosives for bosses and occassionally some wraiths to wreck the other team with. in stuff like ctf or strongholds I’m just literally making a run for the waypoint or try and sneak through enemy lines. when ever a team mate has the flag I just kind of follow them.

Sometimes. Those spots people frequent are popular for a reason, it’s because they work. Do what will be the most advantageous to you, but still be aware of trends and the situation and always be ahead of the enemy.

I try to be a team player above all else always paying attention to what they’re doing. I will go power weapons if another teammate isn’t going for it, I’ll watch to see if they are shooting and try and back them up, and try to stick close enough together that we don’t get overwhelmed. Of course if I get matched up with a team that just likes to scatter in all directions getting killed left and right then I basically play a solo game since I’m pretty much on my own.

As my gamertag suggests, I often try to be a pain in the *** to the other team.

Most times I’ll try to dish out as much damage as possible and run away at the last moment, or play it slow and pick players off one-by-one. Other than that, I’m pretty much a jack-of-all-trades.

…and no, I don’t actually hack while playing Halo. I wouldn’t be that much of a jerk. :stuck_out_tongue:

I usually like to go in headlong and just rush. It may not be the play-style that will keep me alive, but it’s the play-style that I like best.

I’m overly aggressive, as it stands I’m a good shot (Not with a sniper) and I can manage CQC well, but the grenade spammers that are located everywhere counter me and I’m still yet to find a way to counter the good ol’ nade spam without throwing a selection of grenades back in response.

I’m an awful, skrubby, way below average skill level player. In the classic games - meaning all of them but H5 - I am able to have at least a little bit of fun and be somewhat productive by playing a support role. I’m not skilled enough to 1v1 pretty much anyone but if I ride with a teammate at all times (even when not using a mic), I can rack up a handful of kills, help my team win, not feel overwhelmed, and have some fun. And I am reasonably happy with my role as a support player.

In H5, my playstyle is: see enemy Spartan appear in line of sight, die .000000000001 seconds later before I can even get my damn reticle on him, respawn, repeat. This is the case in every PVP playlist/gametype in the game, ranked or unranked, regardless of division if ranked (including frickin Bronze).

I am mostly based on trying to get around the enemy rather than head on. I generally try to practice reflex so I can kill anyone swiftly in my way and get behind them for a devastating strike.

My one goal in any game is to kill as many enemies as possible before I die, it doesn’t matter if that means running into a crowded room with nothing but a shotgun or sitting in the back of the map sniping. I will literally run straight at a scorpion if even a part of me thinks I’ll get to it before it shoots me. I’m pretty much a suicide grunt wearing spartan armor.

I am the true essence of a Lone wolf, i do not run with the group nor do i fight with them. I fight my own battles and for my own objectives. I will also do what i must to stay alive or win, be it sniping or rushing headfirst. My Strategy is, Always Berserk, Never Flee. I mostly attack from behind while my team rushes from the front. I never intentionally fight for the team, only myself.

I play,thats what count.

I always try to support my teammates to complete objectives, such as capturing bases, strongholds, running flags, killing bosses and picking up power weapons. If my teammates aren’t interested in the objectives, then I try to complete them by myself.

I try to fill in the gaps for my team, so I guess that makes me support. Whether its being the slayer on the team, the guy locking down spawns, or running flags, Im the guy thats willing to do anything for that W. Though I have to say my playstyle differs based on how aware my team is: passive if my team are unaware and running around the map flipping spawns so that the enemy somehow respawns behind me/us, or aggressive if my team are locking down power positions and putting shots on anyone that pokes their head out of cover.

i tried doing a match while predicting the enemy it worked well in arena , breakout , and the defense part of WA
