People who love HALO 4 please explain

I dont understand you at all and niether does the majority of people on these forums. I HATE halo 4, i think its an unbalanced mess and has destroyed the traditional halo experience, i literally have to force myself to play just to see if 343 have sorted out their mess.

i cant understand people who defend this game and say “THIS IS THE BEST HALO YET” so instead of flaming and hunting the people who say this down and hurl insults at them i want you to give me and the remainder of the community who are also not sartisfied with this game detailed explanations as to why this game is superior to H2, H3 & H Reach in terms of Muliplayer only

Please do not give stupid one liners, or one worded answers but explain your opinions using examples of how halo 4 is superior so maybe i and the rest of the community can understand your point of view and maybe move past childish name calling

Also please dont include the following removal of armour lock, increasing movement speed, or not being able to drop the flag or throw the griffball as i feel those are the only positive features 343 added to the game

And please remember detailed replies otherwise this will accomplish nothing

I am curious too.

I don`t go around defending the game usually, but I do think that Halo 4 is the best Halo game. I happen to be enjoying the multiplayer a lot more than I enjoyed Halo 3 or Reach, and will continue to enjoy it while you sit here on the forums moaning about it.

I wont start explaining why I enjoy it, because frankly I have no idea why I do so, but I just know that I enjoy it more. And thats it.

But haters gona hate, flamers gona flame.

The whole point of this thread was to explain why you liked Halo 4. When I was reading your post, I was half tempted to insult you. But I can’t be bothered to get involved in that anymore.

We need to know why you think Halo 4 is the best MM wise, because as far as I can see it, Halo 4’s MM is a train-wreck.

@ Smyeeeee, I tend to share a good many of your opinions and am certainly not a fan of most of the changes Halo 4 brought to the table. That being said, I will mention one thing.

Infinity Slayer. I kind of like that playlist. Before someone trashes me for that let me explain. The reason why is that I can see that it was supposed to represent everything fun about the social experience and distill what that experience has traditionally been. The IS playlist(s) do that pretty well.

Where I have problems with it though is that the social experience was extended throughout almost every playlist. I like cake (social) I also like pie (ranked/competitive). The issue is that one can only have so much cake before they become sick of cake and want pie.

There has to be a reason, im not going to insult you for giving an opinion but you never explained it so your post is actually pointless
i just want to undersatnd the people who genuinely prefer this halo title over the others cause i genuinely hate it

I agree infinity slayer can be fun sometimes but when you consider every playlist except for throwdown swat and snipers is based around the same principles aka randomness and luck it ruins the experience for instance i cant play big team battle anymore as its just ridiculous now people are too afraid too move past the half way mark
there should be seperate playlists one with original halo aka no AA, custom loadouts, ordinace drops, instant respawn, killcams, basically h3 multiplayer with improved graphics for 4v4 8v8 and objective game types possibly with a visible 1-50 ranking system and then the 343 infinity 4v4, 8v8 and objective playlists and lets call them ranked and social (JUST LIKE H3 DID)that way every1 will be happy

I’m not an apologetic anymore, sorry. I don’t believe in traditionalism, I believe in progression. That said I do believe they should supply a classic experience for those who want it.

Agreed. I like Infinity Slayer in the same way I liked real fiesta.

Im not asking for an apology just an explanation
Just give me detailed reasons using comparisons why you prefer this game over the previous halo titles

This thread isnt a witch hunt all i want is to gain an undersatnding of why u find this game so enjoyable in comparison to the vast majority of the halo community

Perhaps intentions were well but unfortunately this can too easily burst into flamebait wars.

Players are more than willing to explain how and why they like Halo in many other topics. And if players are to post in a topic where they are to explain their fondness of a game, then they should be more than welcome to express that fondness as they see fit.

So in light of what was just said, putting a lockdown on this.

Multiplayer wise you say?

Well I’ll start off by saying I love halo. I’ll be with her through the rough times as well.

What I like about halo 4 multiplayer is the movement. It feels very fluid and I get happy just thinking about how smooth it feels.

The gunplay feels great. There are a few hiccups with like with the DMR and Boltshot but overall thumbs up on that. Grenades have a better feel to them as well. The bounce of frags to how the plasmas react to hitting a wall and coming down. Loving the new pulse grenades as well. They require different skills to use and it was amazing figuring those skills out. One thing I absolutely love are all the primary rifles you can start with! After mastering the DMR, BR, and the Lightrifle ( currently working on Carbine) I have to say the Lightrifle and Carbine are two highly underated high skill weapons. Makes you earn your kills. Great addition on the Lightrifle.

The armor abilities feel like a good evolution of the equipment of halo 3. Though I feel that the jetpack and camo should be exluded from this. Love the decoy and thruster pack.

I could say more but I’ll leave the positive points there and say that though I love halo 4 I also have negative points.

There should be a greater sense of achievement and growth as a player. Not through a progressive system but a skill based system. 1-50. Ranks. Anything. Doesn’t have to be necessarily that but something better than the progressive systems of Reach and Halo 4.

Ordinance. I am highly against what 343 said about wanting new players to find success through this. What I felt wasn’t realized was that what could attract them could also turn them away. Randomness and unfairness doesn’t work well in this game and shouldn’t be anywhere near the degree that ordinance shows. Mind you I love ordinance. If it was made predictable and to only drop things like needler, concussion rifle or grenades, things like that, ordinance would be a much better system. They could also reintroduce spawning powerups and weapons on map like in previous titles along with this ordinance system and the game, in my eyes, would be way better.

As with the positive points I could say more negatives but I want to keep this short and just give my main points.

So with everything said I feel that my positives outweigh my negatives, including others not listed here. The positives gave me deeper feelings than the negatives. Hope that helps with you understanding.

Emotions work in many ways and I’d rather be affected in a good way rather than being brought down by a cascade of negativity.
