The fact that half the people on this forum don’t want sprint removed shows they are opposed to change, not us. They wont even let us test it because they don’t want their “perfect” halo game to change.

Using sprint defensively like you described has been nerfed. You cant sprint under sustained fire, and sprinting resets your sheild recharge timer.
Now sprint mechanics give you more edge on the chase than it gives them on the escape.

The fact you’re comparing halo to cod and be just shows that sprint is only here because those games have it. H2 and 3, arguably still the best competitive halo games there are-no sprint. Reach and 4, barely had it in the mlg circuit-had sprint. It’s just a stupid feature to make the game play like cod.

If 343 would stay true to the original formula I’m positive it would breathe new life into the franchise. I’ve played 12 games of the Beta of I’m already bored of it. Feels like a generic shooter with longer kill times.

Yes because when something is ironic it is trolling.
Sprint has been in the last two games, so it is change to have it removed. Tell me it is not.
Unfortunately the maps in the beta probably won’t work without sprint, because sprint forced the maps to be designed with the mechanic in mind. If there was a “no sprint week”, they’d have to pump out one or two more maps that are built with only one set base movement speed in mind. And I doubt they’ll do that.

Where did I say I mastered it? And for starters that collection is extremely broken. Also those original games aren’t perfect. if 343 took that formula and fixed the flaws we could have a great game. For example Halo 1 has great gunplay but the spawns aren’t great outside of 2v2. Halo 2 plays great but has way too much auto aim. If 343 took all the aspects that worked in the first 3 games and improved upon it ms flaws that game would succeed no doubt.

Excuse me, but who has compared Halo with CoD? Dont imagine things I have not said. I just said Halo should keep sprint if it wants to MAKE FRONT (refered to the sales) to other games, because anybody would want to play a FPS without sprint.

Dude the whole game is a change.
Don’t project that we’re somehow ‘stuck in our h5 ways’. The games been out not even a week, everyones adjusting to change everytime they play the game.

You didn’t say you mastered it. I am implying that your judgment is unfair on a game you barely know.
You can’t deny there are many aspects of h5 that are direct descendants from h1, 2 and 3. They have done what you are suggesting.
What would be impossible would be to make a ‘better h1’ for example. Halo 1 is already the best at being h1. For every small tweak or upgrade you make there would be a person protesting that it ruins the flavor, or simplifies the meta.
No, 343 made the right choice to make h5 its own halo.
For me, it’s the same whether the sprint exists or not, I don’t give a -Yoink-… I like to play with sprint, it adds a speedburst to my playstyle (wow, you probably didn’t know that…), BUT I also like to play without… It does not affect my gameplay.
