when they send me a typed message AFTER the game telling me to shut up. LOL
all I want is a simple call out, doesn’t even have to be 24/7. Just when it matters. “rockets on my x” “one shot by my x” “I’m going sniper”
so simple, yet people who have mics and are not in party chat still refuse to talk. Not even a simple “yes” or “thanks”.
this is not normal human behavior. LOL.
so yes, I get frustrated and start egging my teammates sometimes, and they still don’t respond til after the game ends. And worse, it’s through a typed message. Why couldn’t you just say it to me during the game? typical softies.
My headphones have a mic in them but the mic is broken. The game detects it and says I have one. I remember on the 360 one of my controllers had crap in the little connection so it also made people think I had a mic.

then 90% of Halo 5 players have no mics I guess. disgusting.
in Halo 2, you were weird if you didn’t use your mic.

Times are changing friend. I do the same thing, call outs and the like, but I’ve never had someone message me afterwards haha
People don’t use mics anymore, plain and simple. Its very rare to find randoms who are using their mics and who are also tolerable, but that’s just the way it is.

If you want people to talk to go and find your own party.

Yeah I don’t want to be that guy but its probably because today so many people are anti-social or just don’t know how to verbally talk to another person, to much talking through through type
This has been my experience with people who use mics in Halo:
5% - People like you who are trying to cooperate as a team
20% - Kids narrating every action they see on screen
30% - People singing, playing music, or breathing heavily
45% - Hate, racism, etc. People who need therapy ASAP.
It’s a great tool if you’re with friends or people who fall into the first category (and even the second if you get them to focus.) But if I’m playing solo, I don’t even see a point in plugging it in.
Unless I am playing with someone I know I don’t speak in the game. It’s just not worth anyone’s time in the current online community. Certainly not a Halo problem. No multiplayer game is worth talking in these days. A nice pet peeve though is someone claiming that something is on their X when I don’t know your voice, name or tag. There’s no way in a standard game for me to track these things for someone I have just heard talk for the first time.
Community: I really want to be good at this game
Me: Me too!
Community: …
Me: Want to party up, work together to get map control, teamshot, and control power weapons?
Community: You mean I have to talk? I’ll pass Drives scout hog aimlessly into the sunset
You are the very few who communicate with a mic and don’t cream or breath heavy Na splay obnoxious music or don’t say a word at all. That’s why party chat is nice. I want to speak with my friends and family

I prefer taking the mongoose. It is more dignified.

Geoffrey, fetch the mongoose. I wish to toss grenades at casuals.
I was stuck at Diamond rank for a bit playing with randoms then i started partying up with people who used mics and called out not only called out but listened to call outs as well now im onyx in everything except Breakout.
We get wrecked by champs but it helps when you know all the moving pieces in the map.
I still search solo a lot and when i see my teammates with mics i start calling out, i time the power ups and everything. I guess im annoying or people dont want to play as a team cus sometimes they start a solo party mid way through the game lol.
When that happened it was at lower ranks though i think a lot of people dont know the callouts because at higher ranks people with no mics listened to callouts.
You can tell just by the way they play if they are listening.

Would you like the ONI varient imported directly from New Paris, today, sire?
Every time I am playing solo and play game with someone who is cooperative, I friend them and keep on playing. Before you know it you have a full fireteam and an active friend list of known mic users. To take it further, I watched hours of the HWC this past weekend in a party with a half dozen or better of these players that I’ve started teaming with.
