Hey if you were like me and you didn’t get any of the limited edition content with your purchase of the Halo 4 limited edition because it wasn’t redeemed with your profile post in this thread so that 343 can hear your frustration. I am not trying to bad mouth 343 but I feel very betrayed on this. The usage restrictions when you downloaded this content very plainly stated that it could be used by all profiles on the original xbox this code was downloaded to. Yet now I don’t even get to enjoy the perks that I paid for. Hopefully if enough people voice their concerns on this matter 343 will make things right and allow you to enjoy the content that you, your spouse, or sibling paid for…
I’m more upset that anyone who plays prior to Nov 20th (who doesn’t have LE) gets access to the same Specializations.
LE owners were supposed to have this as an exclusive.
They really botched LE (imagine how bad they would have borked a Legendary edition)!
Honestly I don’t even care about the armor and emblems I just want access to the specializations. Now I get to watch my wife continue to rank while I’m stuck with what everyone else is event though I personally spent fourty more dollars on my copy of the game.

yeah I know and im already sr 35, 15 more sr and then I really get to feel the pain of this.

I originally imagined some things would be unlocked prior to that…doesn’t seem there’s much use for Fast Track upgrade if you’re already at SR-50 and there can be much better upgrades to use…
I’m not moaning about the game,because i’m really loving it,but i did pre order the L.E and thought i would have access to the specializations which I don’t.
Hopefully it’s just a bug thats going to be fixed.
I regret ordering LE. I reflexively ordered it the day it became available and now its abundantly clear that I should have researched what I was getting. Horribly confusing.
what makes this an even bigger burn was that I made my wife check the usage restrictions before I let her redeem the code and it said that all the accounts on my console could use the content. It would be a different issue all together if it said it was gamer profile specific.

If this is true, that sucks. I guess my little brother doesn’t get any specializations.
I imagine this means youll have to buy map packs twice if he wanted to play without your account signed in.
Make sure you get the word out about this and if you see any post about this in the forums direct people to this thread hopefully if we get enough people talking about this 343 with do something about it!

Same problem here, I redeemed the code under the assumption my two brothers would get access to them too, but I am now the only one. Hopefully this was a bug or glitch of some kind and not intentional because I have always (correctly) assumed everyone on the console would get any DLC purchases (even seasons passes like gears 3). As for the map packs, I think they work like traditional DLC but now I am not so sure of that, which would be a huge disappointment and take away from what I think is truly an amazing game.
Its not. They said right from the get go that you need to still get to sr50 to use them.

Why would you have to buy them twice. There is no glitch. Its working the way it is supposed to.

which map packs were we supposed to unlock? I didn’t notice and I certainly feel I well over paid for this LE.
Here is a quote of some things we were supposed to get…

•War Games Map Packs: The Limited Edition includes access to nine maps - three future competitive multiplayer map packs, each including three locations, available for download post-launch on Xbox LIVE.
•Specializations: Receive early access to six Specializations, available at launch on Xbox LIVE, and use them, one at a time, to achieve higher ranks in your Spartan career. In addition to gaining access to new ranks, Specializations unlock new customization options.”
If this is true, why didn’t I get access to the map pack on xbox live? why don’t I have early access to 6 specializations “available at launch” ?
Just checked with my nephew who has regular edition, he has access to at least 3 specializations while Lv.13… I have every single specialization LOCKED!!! I paid $100 for options I am being locked out of while others buy regular edition and get the stuff I can’t have, yet am supposed to have. TOTAL BS!!!
