whats up with that? at first i thought it was my controller and i actually went out and bought a brand new one thinking the one i was using didn’t work right, but it keeps happening. its like my punch button works great right up till i get into punching range of some people and then it doesn’t work. is this an upgrade? can i get my guy like that? cuz i hate getting punched out!
No as far as I know it isn’t an upgrade, maybe a glitch unless you are playing slayer mini in team action stack because that game is a -Yoink- to try and punch. Or in campaign where you can’t kill people critical to the story line. Also in matchmaking it takes two hits to kill if the person has full shield and depending on the difficulty of the campaign grunts can even take a beating too.
well that kinda sucks, i was kinda hopeing it was something i could do as well. im playing small team slayer, but it still happens every now and then. not every round but once in a while i can be running at someone who is turned the other way and as soon as i get close enough to punch it stops working. already spent $40 on a new controller. so i assumed it had to be an upgrade or tact support. well thanks for the answer man! looks like i must have a faulty game or something.
Do you mean that the actual animation doesn’t start when you push the proper button?
theres no animation and no actual punch. its like the bumper button doesn’t work. like i said i ended up buying a new controller thinking it was the actual button, but even with the new controller it still happened. so i assumed it was an armor ability or upgrade or tact package. hearing that its not makes me wonder if i need a new x-box or just get another copy of the game it self?
This is likely an occurrence of network lag, nothing else. With that being said, the only thing you should try to be replacing is a router, not your copy of Halo 4.
You are pressing the right bumper, right? Maybe check your controller settings.
If that doesn’t solve the problem, it’s definitely because of some extreme lag. Useful tip- when you suspect lag and know you have enough stamina, try to sprint. If nothing happens that’s a good sign of network issues.
ill try the new router. thanks alot guys!
It’s either a glitch to do with your internet connection or you’re pressing the wrong button, maybe the button layout has changed without you noticing?
