People want traditional Halo

Almost everyone I’ve talked to hates the changes to this game. The only people I see defending it are people on the Forums.

I can talk to all my friends, ALL, and they hate it. My friends are all casual players, ALL of them.

I can talk to randoms on Live, they dislike the game as well. Randoms, the ones every fanboy uses to say, “Oh hey, everyone likes this game, you’re in the minority!” You guys are wrong. In fact to prove it, let us cast a vote to people who enjoy this game, and those who don’t.

The majority want a traditional, classic Halo experience.

We’ve had enough votes about this. You can read the forum and see what the people think about the game.

Halo 3 is still perfectly playable online.

I personally like the game. There are things that I believe can and should be fixed but overall I find it enjoyable.

Now some of the changes to the formula initially gave me some problems but I take the advice of Gunnery Sergeant Highway from “Heartbreak Ridge”:

> Highway: Drop your -Yoinks!- and grab your socks! Off your -Yoink- and on your feet. Let’s move. Knees to the breeze in 5 minutes.
> Profile: It’s Goddam 5 o’clock. You said six!
> Highway: So I lied. So I can’t tell time. So maybe some communist -Yoink-'s going to make an appointment pop you a new -Yoink- in your forehead. You’re Marines now. You adapt. You overcome. You improvise. Let’s move. Four minutes!

I already played Halo 3 to death, honestly. I don’t feel like going back to it.

You’re right OP. The only people that like this game are on these forums. Why would a CoD player be here? Most of the community has gone there after launch, so the only people that would go on here are ones that like the game. I can’t talk to anyone in my school about Halo because they all hate it. Back in 2007 I remember all of my friends were talking about Halo. Why can’t people see that the change that has happened to Halo has been for the worse?

Tradional Halo, only halo fans have this problem… Why not traditional COD or GOW or BF? Why only halo need be “New”?
I say only one Halo, only Arena.
H4/Reach isnt halo, “The New Halo” is a fiasco with good marketing.

Just like many Halo “purists”. They also don’t want to play Halo 3 any more, yet they want Halo 4 to be like Halo 3.

I’d like more Halo Reach.
But noooo, we can’t just build expansions onto games, because that’d be too damn convenient.

I prefer having 3 various Halo games playable online, than just 3 clones of one game (like Activision is doing with CoD last 5 years). Even if I got new maps for Halo 3, in it’s core it’s getting boring.
I like Halo 4.

Imagine if we could get a spruced up Halo 2/3. It could be amazing. Less lag, better graphics, the simple H2 ranking system, great maps, BR starts for everyone, no crazy bullet magnetism(you’ll actually have to focus and shoot the guy for shots to register), quick and mobile strafe that we had in H2, players actually spawning at their base’s surroundings, weapons spawning at strategic spots on the map and without silly labels. They could also incorporate the experience earned for WINS and that going towards body armor and other things. It’s true, WE want a traditional Halo with structure, not a dumbed down version of it full of gimmicks and randomness that we have with Halo 4.

Damn I voted wrong, I wanted no.

-1 for yes

Halo never was a true arena shooter. More like a “wanna-be”. Honestly I don’t know what to classify it as. It doesn’t deserve to be in the same category as Quake 2 or 3, and sure as hell not Unreal Tournament 99.

This is what I want. The poll sucks though because I like Halo 4, but just give me traditional Halo in matchmaking. BR start. None of this cross map BS.

While I would love to complain all day it does not change Halo. I’ve accepted this lesser Halo installment. However, there is no excuse why we have not received a title update to so many issues the game faces.

That’s what I do for a living, Sarge but that doesn’t mean I enjoy it.

I think a lot of the changes are good.My problem is the game runs poorly compared to the other games I play on live Reach and Blackops.4 is just glitchy and laggy. Also Halo needs more playlist for lonewolves and better matchmaking.Nothing will chase off new players faster then getting beaten severely every time they play.

Halo 4 is too … Halo 4 . You know ?

Halo 4 is fine. It has issues but that’s to be expected from a game where the people making it are new to making games on their own. I’m sure they’ll update and modify the game as much as they can over time to try and improve it, and they’ll take what they did wrong into account in Halo 5.

But anyone who says it should basically be a Halo CE/2/3 clone with upped graphics should probably stop playing videogames before their inability to accept change spreads into their real lives.

huh. seems like your poll proved you wrong.
