If something is helping to beat you I’m going to use it, naturally. I hate that the boltshot is a starting weapon because of what it does to gameplay, but do I use it? Obviously, because I don’t like losing.
It’s the same as the problem with the jetpack in Halo Reach. Every single competitive player hated the jet pack, but every single competitive player used it because if you didn’t you would lose to someone who did.

This. It may seem unfair, but you do have the option to use the same AA’s and weapons off spawn. As much as I hate Camo, Pro Vision, Jet Pack and the Boltshot. I know if I don’t use them, others will simply use them on me and I’ll be at the disadvantage.
Yeah, I don’t know who’s idea it was to give everyone in multiplayer the ability to see through walls and think it would be a good idea. It’s ridiculous. They really should have had a beta. Then maybe we wouldn’t have to wait until half a year after the game comes out for the boltshot to be fixed, or them to maybe (if we’re lucky) tone down the armor ability that lets you SEE THROUGH -Yoinking!- WALLS.
either promethean vision or armor lock your choice personally i chose armor lock but really all abilitys suck but pro vision and active camo
I always -Yoink!- whenever I see someone using it. Just because I like knowing they can see me doing it. lol
If you really want to avoid it being useful against you, I suggest BTB.

Promethian vision is one of the least irritating armor abilities in my opinion. The jet pack, thruster pack, regen field and active camo all lead to better results than promethian vision when used competently.
They had a closed beta with the top players…

Uhm…yeah…not about it working. It’s about balance and not being overpowered. If that’s the case everyone would spawn with three grenades, PV/Jetpack, DMR, Plasma Pistol and Michael Bay would be happy.

I use it in Spartan Ops…but it makes sense in Spartan Ops as I usually run solo and therefore vastly outnumbered so it’s nice to know what’s lurking around the next corner.
In multi though I thought when you use it you ping yourself on both ally and enemy motion trackers? Pretty big downside letting everyone know where you are.
I’ll make sure to 'bag you then when I ninja you.
I don’t need some -Yoink- weapons to kill people. I’ll still dump on you with my lightrifle and magnum.
I like to win by skill, not have them handed to me on a plate. Bad kids are bad.

You forgot letting everyone spawn with rockets, that’s the best tactic out there!
Promethean vision is a glorified radar, I don’t see it being that threatening.
Plus, you can counter it anyways.

Stop crouching with a scattershot the ENTIRE game and I won’t be forced to use it. Pro Vision is the only way to counter crouchers on Adrift and Abandon IMO.
