I need help. For the past 5 days Halo 5 has been almost unplayable for me because I am constantly getting hit with the lag where everyone runs into walls and they last for 8-15 seconds each match multiple times (based on how long the match is).
But the thing is while its happening I’m able to have full conversations with my friends in party chat with no problem, also I encounter no problems with lag when I’m playing any of my other games online, just Halo 5. Also it doesn’t just happen in Matchmaking, its also happens in Campaign, Forge, & Customs only when I’m playing with others.
Never experienced this. Could be someone in the party with bad connection
No, I’m the only one in the party who suffers from this, also it happens every match when I don’t play with my friends. Believe it or not but my little brother is able to play Halo 5 on my xbox with his profile with no problem, but the instant I try to play using my profile, lag, lag for days.
That sounds more like a coincidence at best. Maybe try hard resetting the console and the router? Maybe the router needs a firmware update? Is your NAT open? The console doesn’t pick out profiles like “OH! Jimmy is on, imma -Yoink- with him.”

Already have tried hard resetting both my xbox router multiple times with no success. My router is up to date, & my NAT is open.
It may be a coincidence but it a damn good one, because literally as I said 4 days straight after being able to play my xbox after the holiday break Halo 5 has been unplayable because of the lag. It didn’t matter when i played it and who I played it with, but literally like 10 minutes after trying to play Halo 5 my brother comes home & wants to play, I told him he won’t be able to but he still wanted to so I let him. And sure enough like I also said he was able to play it for almost 2 hours with no lag, & when he finished I quickly logged him out & logged myself in & when straight to playing Halo 5, but of course it was still loaded with lag for me.
I have the same issue. I can talk in party chat but the lag in game is horrible. I would blame my internet right away, but Halo is the only game having issues. I played battlefield and Battlefront just fine. I think there is an issue with the dedicated servers that I’m connecting to. Or something of that sort.
