> No running isnt a bad thing. Like others have said if you are out gunned and are weak then i see no problem. Its a stratagey if they give chase to me i can set up to take advantage of the situation. While it may seem cheap or “noobish” its all a game to see if you are really gonna follow. If you still get me than good for you. If i am able to stay alive and kill you because i was able to manipulate you into falling into my plan then that is a fair kill.
This reminds me of another scenario in the FFA finals when Ace was controlling top mid of Skyline and got Pistola weak and he ran off but Ace didn’t fall for it and just stayed at top mid. Then Pistola tried to backtrack thinking he would outsmart Ace but he hadn’t moved and scored a kill as Pistola ran back in the open with no shields.

No need to be an arrogant -Yoink-. The highlighted part was all you needed to post. The rest was unnecessary and made you look very arrogant.

I am sorry.
I did not mean to offend I just don’t like it when people flaunt K/D and CSR like that.

If your shield is down and you challenge its rightfully so that you die.

It’s not sprints fault, it’s the maps in this game. Generally, the maps in H4 are so cluttered up with crap that there’s always something to run behind. It’s just another way they’ve newbified this game. Just take your time and deal with it and pick your battles, charging around something into a team or a Boltshot will almost never work. There’s only so much that can be done for someone that sucks. If your good enough you’ll usually come out on top, besides, it’s only natural to take cover if it means surviving. Keep in mind, players will try to use every tactic to there advantage to survive. I feel your pain.

You misunderstand me. If you want to run, then be free to run away and be burned for it later. If you want to fight, then fight.
You do what you want. It is not my concern.

Out of all the ideas I suggested running away is probably the most noobish one. But I understand that people must do whatever it takes to survive.
> One way or another you will die weather its by the one who initially started shooting you or his 3 friends that hunt you down.
Pretty much always the case in team games. Especially if the opposing team is on mics calling out one shots. I can understand why people get frustrated by sprint sometimes it just prolongs the inevitable and has only been in Halo since Reach.

You clearly didn’t in the first 2 pages of this thread.
Running is fine. If anything, you are the idiot for chasing them around the corner and getting bolt shotted. You obviously haven’t learned that this scenario is going to happen 9 times out of 10.

Oh look, another butthurt kid that got offended by me saying people running away is annoying. You can go ahead and make excuses as to why running away is a good thing but rational people will see where I’m coming from and will understand that when people run away it is annoying.

You are putting yourself above him by saying such things as “rational people will understand” ( I am in no way defending him as there are better ways to word his point) but never the less it sounds arrogant to say that your opinion on this topic is superior to his.
In Halo, if I challenge a player, all that should decide who wins or loses that single engagement is…
…who’s more accurate.
…whose strafe is better.
…the weapons we are using.
…who has the better position.
If I’m able to out-play someone through these four factors, I deserve the kill, while my enemy deserves the death.
With Sprint involved, even if I have the advantage through all four factors, that player CAN negate the entire engagement.
I don’t get the kill. He doesn’t die.
This could be fixed quite simply.
There are two ways.
Remove default Sprint.
Allow players to fire while sprinting.
In Halo 3, players COULD retreat and live.
The difference though, is that both players would be moving at the same speed and the chaser could still fire his weapon.
While it could be aggravating, it’s nowhere near as frustrating as chasing after an unshielded enemy, disengaging Sprint to fire, and he turns another corner.
This does nothing but annoy the players who rightfully deserved their kills, and had them taken away.
Not because of the four engagement factors, or the enemy team’s intervention, but because of a flawed mechanic.
i dont think you deserve anything as i believe kills are earned (there is a difference)
Sprint allows options to open up,
from regrouping with your team to swarming an enemy. If you think you deserve your kill simply because you were unable to get the final shot on me.
As ive said before sprint isnt a bail out (at least not all the time) it can be used for flipping your odds in an instant, something that a grenade can do, or a well timed jump, or melee. Sprint is another factor that skilled players are able to adjust their engagement tactics to deal with. If you are unable to adjust then you do not deserve the kill.
If you mindlessly chase in a blood thirsty way and fall for the bait then you deserve the death as you failed to plan ahead for what lies ahead. For all you know he could have just been bait (i do it all the time) to lead you to where his team melts you in a team shot because you gave chase and fell into a wrong situation. Or he bettered his odds of winning by using all tools and methods available to him.

I’ll reply back tomorrow.
I’m too tired to type a long post.

Mate, your words fall on deaf ears they can’t grasp that chasing is a bad idea.
They also seem to think they deserve the kill just because they got the first shot.
And yeah no to sprint shooting as that would make sprint actually broken.
