People quitting very often

Is it just me, or do something like half of all games have at least one person quitting? Either on my team or the enemy team, one person would leave the game, meaning that either my team dominates or their team dominates - especially in social matches. I feel like this is becoming an issue. Do any of you feel the same way or have the same experience? Today, I’ve played almost ten games and so far there was only one game where nobody quit.

Unfair teams make people quit, also map and mode depending on the playlist you’re in

Soon as I get the armor pieces I want, I’m done with this MCC mulitplayer.

Its online multiplayer. People have and always will quit out. Theres really nothing anyone can do. In life you have people who can stick it out no matter how bad it gets, and those who, as soon as things arent in their favor they turn tail and run like cowards.

It should also be mentioned and considered that some of these people may have been exited out of Halo by accident, AKA their game crashes. That’s happened to me a few times during matches.

Anyway, when I feel up to it, just send them a message asking why they quit and I’ll usually report them. The best way to fight against quitters is to report them. But after two quits a Halo ban is handed out in arena anyway.

I know - but it just seems to be happening far more often than usual. If it was 25% of games where someone quits, then it would be fine, but having 80% or 90% of games where people quit seems excessive. I don’t remember this being that common in the past (or in Halo 5 and other games I play).

Reporting does nothing, 343 admitted disabling that for fear it would be “abused”.

Yes this happens a lot I don’t even bother anymore

Lovely. Didnt know that. So this whole time I’ve been messaging and reporting players has been a huge waste of time.

Yep. I still go through the motions though.

Is it just me, or has it become more common for griefers to betray people just for laughs? And what happened to betrayal booting - is it still enabled?

I have experienced a lot of players quitting on Halo MCC PC, especially within the Social playlist. It really is dis-heartening to see, even worse is when you queue a long time for competitive match and have players troll/leave.

I get its annoying. Trust me, I do. But I don’t see why people are so upset over people quitting out of a social game. At the very least, the game does its best to replace the player. Now ranked? That’s a dirty move quitting out of a ranked match. Quitters shouldn’t play ranked. Or the penalty for quitting a ranked match should be much worse

I’m upset, yes - but not THAT upset. I still play the game often, after all. I was just pointing out a problem that seems to have proliferated in the social playlists and is affecting people’s enjoyment of the game. It’s the kind of issue that makes the game significantly less fun, especially when you end up being spawn-camped for ten minutes just because you are short of players. If 343 knows how to reduce this issue, it will noticeably improve the online social experience.
