So this seems to be a brand new problem for Halo 5 as compared to the previous Halo games. PRETTY MUCH EVERY OTHER GAME you’re forced to quite because at least one other person on your team quits within the first 2 minutes. It’s pretty ridiculous honestly and totally ruins the game. It essentially forces you to play with people you know and know won’t quit. Then just to rub salt in the wound, if you quit to many times then you’re banned for a period of time. It’s really a sick joke honestly.
In my opinion the problem is the -Yoink- new ranking system. This new ranking system is interesting, but it does not place people where they belong. The fact that you can’t level down is ridiculous. In the old halos if you couldn’t get passed level 43 it was because you would win and lose and equal number of games. With this ranking system if you have 8/10 stellar or vice versa games you get placed to high or to low and are forced to spend hours ranking up or are stuck getting killed over and over again. But it’s really not that bad for an individual user, its bad for their teammates they get placed with. Halo 5 is the most team heavy Halo to date… You cannot win a game if you have a bad team member and are playing people of a similar skill level. Broken ranking system = crap quality games = people quitting = a terrible experience = a terrible halo game.
Then add sprinting, small maps, dying from every angle, short radars so people end up next you and you have no idea how. Then toss in some ridiculously overpowered weapons and only one sniper on any given map with basically no sniping lanes, equates to a Halo experience that really only feels like halo because of master chief. Take that out and you have some crazy new hybrid Cod-Halo-Fifa Ultimate team ogre of a creature.
Good work 343… and thanks for the new Slayer map, looks like it came straight out of Destiny. Maybe you should go ahead and give the game back to bungie where it belongs.

Don’t quit if your teammate quits. Face the challenge. - Team game outcomes are heavily effected by teammates. It has always been this way. In every game. Ever. - You don’t like sprinting. That’s fine. You’re in the minority though. - Arena maps are small. Your opinion that you don’t like them. - Seems like you’re mad that you can’t grab a sniper rifle and find a far away corner to buff your K/D ratio. - With shorter radars you’re also in the minority. Your opinion again, though. - Focus on the things you don’t like and can’t control and you will be unhappy for a long time.
yeah, join in progress is pretty bogus too. I’m tired of joining games where it’s 11 minutes in, 650-200 points in warzone, where the enemy has all three bases. Way to drag my stats down.
i’ve ‘lost’ games in under a minute from joining them before.
on the other hand, it’s pretty discouraging when the enemy, say, gets all four bosses on apex 7 and the spire, so i can kind of understand why people quit.
I know I have a problem with the game glitching/not registering me try to quit before the lobby refresh, then it sucks me into another match that I’m either forced to quit or sit thru and suffer. its happened a handful of times to me.
setting the aside… I love this game but so not enjoy starting a match and a few minutes in finding the teams uneven. Frankly it’s not fun for either side.

Please show me where I insulted Destiny… I love Destiny, it’s a fantastic game. Overgrown is a map that belongs in Destiny. It doesn’t belong in Halo 5, the weapons and loadouts are entirely different. Sorry I felt that that was implied. Guess you need to lay out some things for some people. Did you know that I was talking about a map that looks like Destiny in Halo 5? Did you know I wasn’t insulting Destiny? Did you know that this is a forum for Halo not for Destiny, I mean, it’s common knowledge isn’t it???
There have been a lot of premature quitters out there lately. It’s kind of unfortunate that so many people have so little patience. For this reason I rarely enter a ranked match without knowing the people in my party and game. They should make the quitting penalties a bit harsher in my opinion, but then again that’s coming from someone who doesn’t quit even if the majority of my team does.

At what point do the whining and the trolling become so overlapped and intertwined that they collapse upon each other into a uniform singularity of salt and stupidity?
Just ignore the ranking and all that weird stuff. Just enjoy playing the new game or dislike it, return it. Nobody says ranking is a matter of life. If you are a real gamer, sit back, chat with friends and curse to the skies at them rotten kids who over power you over online gaming.

I feel your pain, before the server went down, I played a few team arena game, and only one game did I have one team member quit, even a second… hell one game had the entire other team quit… arrgh… stuff is really making me mad…
and this comes from the occasional rage quitter on ffa, at that…

Yes, buuuuut, it’s not the halo team. Activision pretty much drove out all the halo guys, and fired Marty o donned for no reason. (He won the law suit)
yes its bungie, but it’s pretty much all new staff. I wish people would do some research.
