small minded arrogant people who do not care about other people who like different things.
I’ve seen threads about MLG not hosting Halo 4 because of Microsoft and -Yoink!- Gaming’s contract, and all you people on here post is “it doesn’t matter because I’ve never liked it and just because they like to compete in stuff they enjoy means they have no life and all they do is talk trash to other players”.
That basically sums everything up the small minded people on these forums post, while they forget that the competitive players are being LEFT OUT.
For example : How would you feel if you’re a BTB kind of guy who likes to drive around vehicles, and then 343 decides to not include vehicles and a BTB playlist in Halo 5. HOW WOULD YOU FEEL? Left out, right?
people on these forums need to start respecting each other on these forums instead of being like “I didn’t like what you liked in previous Halo games, so it doesn’t matter it’s gone”.
I’m pretty sure you all have seen the 200+ pages thread about custom games options being unacceptable. these people are being LEFT OUT. they are pissed and mad because they cannot enjoy the part they liked the most about Halo, and are forced to play these gametypes created by the community which are a bit fun too, but not even near as fun as what we could do in custom games in previous Halo games. THESE PEOPLE ARE BEING LEFT OUT, AND THAT -Yoink- MATTERS A LOT.
in the same way, people who like MLG or just playing competitive in general who liked to play MLG too every now and then are being LEFT OUT. that MATTERS.
Why do people not care about this game not being fun for the ENTIRE community?

Listen! I didn’t care for MLG in previous Halo games so it doesn’t matter that it’s gone because I’m the only human on the planet. Who’s cares why don’t you just go outside you tryhard. Did you like my impression of the typical Waypoint user? I think it was pretty accurate. You’re 100% right in what you say but unfortunately the general the “youth” of today are that poorly educated and narrow minded there is little turning the tide when it comes people being complete plebs. Infact kiddies if you are reading this post I’d go so far as to say that YOU probably one of the aforementioned individuals. Hell, I’m even one!

MLG doesn’t. It’s MLG’s fault they decided to drop it. At least i’m pretty sure it is. (Never really gave this much attention. But does -Yoink!- Gaming’s contract prevent MLG from supporting Halo 4, or are they throwing a fit?)
I would call “small minded” people who believed some self-called “pros” that Halo 2 or 3 was “competitive” shooter because it had BR as a default weapon. Very, very small minded.
I don’t care about MLG, I don’t care about “competitive” players. I hope they’ll leave Halo, and play some other games (even some really competitive pc shooters). That should open their minds enough.

I may not be a competitive gamer, but you’re exactly the type of person the OP is talking about.

Nope. I really mean that.
There’s a lot of features in Halo 4, that really made me loving this game, and all those things (JIP, custom loadouts, sprint etc) are called not “competitive” by some self-called “competitive players”. When I was a teenager, I’ve been really into local Quake/UT scene and I know what being “competitive” means. People who seeks harcore gaming in Halo series needs reality check. Playing more other games would really open their eyes.
Halo is about playing with friends and having fun. Splitscreen, online or both at the same time.

I agree with the OP from what I read around the forum on the MLG subject many seem to have something against competitive players , I don’t know why or what the problem is about it.
Some get so offended that a few players wanna get more competitive in halo and always come with the same answer , “I just wanna have fun playing , halo is about fun” for you.
I’ve been playing halo since halo:CE and played the -Yoink- out of H3 for 2-3 years in a row and now with H4 i wanted to play MLG and find a nice team to practice with and play in some tournments ALSO for fun but in a more competitive way , which for me is a more fun way to play.

But its Microsoft that sold the rights and didnt delay the release for Halo 4 so that it could be fixed like they did with Halo 2 which if you didnt know had major problems as well. I’m tired of people just makeing 343 their scapegoat because there too lazy or too inraged before even reading or processing an entire post or even small tweet from sundance to see that 343 wanted to get some competative stuff in there Hell they even worked to get MLG dallas going. People have to realise that MS > 343, MS + $ ( AKA -Yoink!- gameing/ early release for plus in sales against BO2) > 343 wants and needs for titles. MS is in charge of all those Halo franchise contracts and stuff not 343 there just the developer that makes the product MS makes all those release date decisions. I feel sorry for all the competative players and people who wanted MLG but they haveing to realize its not the end of the world for MLG its just that MS broke towards more money rather than fan appeal and theres still the possability for 343 to make a competative gametype / playlist it all depends on make your voice heard and i dont mean rageing. We all have to stand together once the contract MS sold to -Yoink!- gameing runs out and do whatever we can to make MS realize we dont want this -Yoink- to happen again.

He states that MLG and people who enjoy MLG are being left out and that its unfair. I agree people who like MLG and competitive gaming are being left out.
