People not playing? I now know why

I remember, Escharums evil unknown twin brother was the orc who was headshot by Merry in Isengard while riding on treebeard.

Rocks seem to be the kryptonite of Brutes, thats why a whole platoon needed to share only one rock. Now that all makes sense.

Now for real: In the first two phases, you need to use and espacially hit with all power weapons and many coils. If the shield is not triggered by using the power weapons, use the BR or Disruptor to lower the health until the next round begins. Do not waste the needler until the last round!

In the last round, you can needle Escharum to death. This strategy made it way easier for me.

Regarding movement, I can only give you the general advice, that you have to use th grapple, when Escharum comes to close. The rest is figuring out his movement and attacks in a specific range.

If you use Jega’s sword, you can actually have a fun duel.

Yeh that boss was not fun or well designed. I get the idea of making things difficult but it just like bad game design when it forces the player to stick to 1 main strategy. I was basically web slinging most of the time because of it and that was more stressful. It just reminds me why I’m actually not a big of Doom Eternals campaign after a while because it’s just too stressful. I like a challenge and I like a game to be at least feeling balanced but the boss was a mess and not even sure I want to bother stressing out with LASO until coop turns up.

Also I’m not entirely sure but sometimes it feels like the AI cheats and goes through walls to just somehow instant smash me. Plus the behaviour of the AI seems very unrealistic and just stressful. Thing is I can deal with most of the phases but that last phase was just annoying. It kind of made me sick of hearing the word “legend”.

Pretty sure I used mainly the Shock rifle and needler to take him down in the end on Legendary.

So um gunna have to laugh because he was a joke you want tough gravy ham mopo at the dig site tiny as can be room next to no escape, bounds around just like escharum but get this, he doesnt have a weakness to his shield or health bar and can one tap you from straight full health dudes a beast of a boss couple that with the actual minimal weapons laying about and you’re in for a rough ride. Escharum is really straightforward on how to beat him and since hes old frail weak and possibly sick hes nothing even compared to the fights before him.

Now there are lots of reasons the community is dwindling I’d say first and foremost would be the multiplayer second would be the lack of content and coop campaign kinda tied with one another. The lack of maps is because weve been a bit spoiled getting tons and tons of maps to play on and the playlist problem has been addressed slightly. Cant discredit progress when youre nitpicking every bit of the game.

Though I’ll say this boss fights with dark souls level health bars in a frigging halo game with no invincibility frames is a really poor idea and design choice. Totally prefer the halo 2 prophet of regret boss fight to anything these guys have dished out

Electro-stim him to death with the disruptor. Use your equipment.

I have the same sentiment as well, though I am not sure that is why people are not playing.

Either way, I honestly believe this boss is flawed. I mentioned already how I died like 20 times as soon as the battle started. He spawns in front of you and kills you before you can grapple to cover. Like, bruh. Was this even tested? Just asking.

I restarted the mission and took a rocket launcher with me, worked.

To be honest, I cannot remember being this frustrated with Doom Eternal. Sure, I still died plenty of times. And yes, you still have to move constantly to avoid dying on Nightmare. Difference is, you can still kill stuff and I actually enjoyed it. In Infinite, this whole process is just boring and frustrating.

That fight was pretty easy compared to the others…the hammer part was annoying but not nearly as annoying as bassus

Just cheese him man. Set up a bunch of fusion coils where he spawns so he lands on them and dies lol.

This is always interesting to me. I had NO trouble with Jega or Bassas, but Escharum took me every bit of an hour+ of beating my head against that wall.

Chok lok was also a major time sink for me.

Most the bosses are just varying levels of annoying.

Halo 2’s the only one that approached halo boss fight’s correctly, and thats to not to take the enemy being a boss too seriously.

I tend to prefer long range weapons so when a boss with a melee weapon jumps me from behind, in a tight space, with me having no prior knowledge this will happen, its extremely aggrivating.

Hes referring to more of the “fun zone” that doom forces you into. Essentially the devs took it as an insult that players could complete doom with just about any single weapon the pistol was probably the biggest as it’s the whole reason we dont have an unlimited ammo weapon again. But even running on please dont hurt me that game has a steep learning curve I’d say is even harder to grasp than dark souls learning curve. That fun zone running down to the wire on ammo every time gets to be rough and gets even tougher in the later levels. Simply put I havent even beat the game yet as I cant make it past the halfway mark and I’ve gotten every collectible so far that was possible. That’s the difficulty of doom eternal

Side note the bosses of doom eternal are the easier part of the game in my personal opinion

Indeed, you had to switch weapons quite often, but I was totally ok with that. I beaten it on Nightmare. Yes, I still died plenty, and yes, I agree there’s a learning curve to it. But as things stand now, I’d rather play Doom Eternal over Infinite.

Infinite is not that hard when you roam in the open world, I’d say it is in line with previous Halos. But the bosses are just… man. I really do not want to play on legendary ever again because of them.

I feel the black of an extra body or more doesnt help the open world case the games broken not difficult. The learning curve in doom eternal is far steeper on the movement/weapon swapping forced aspects of the game. Sure the boss fights are a bit tough but with games like dark souls becoming a cake walk for the average player and not the casual player it’s kinda to be expected as most gamers want a fair and fun playing field.

With halo you dont have to play on legendary but people do it to test their skills. If you think these bosses are hard go do halo 2 legendary. The average grunt is gunna own you just like it did everyone else who masochistically went through that dreadnought of a campaign I was one and it was tough. I felt the same about every halo campaign on legendary. It’s tough at first but it gets easier especially when you know what to expect where enemy’s are spawning all the fun techniques that make us better

I completed CE, H2, H3, ODST, Reach, H4, H5 and HW2 on legendary before starting Infinite. H2 is indeed dreadful, but still, I can do it. The rest are a cakewalk to me.

Infinite’s bosses are just stupid. So much that honestly, not even when doing H4 on LASO (no Iron/Blind workarounds) I had that much trouble. Yes, I am 100% serious.

Look when you can beat most of them with pure melee on laso they are jokes only one to give me trouble every time is bassus since I dont even wanna touch that hammer couple that with his constant chasing and it’s a crap ride that ya cant get off of soon enough. But plenty of people have found ways to beat each boss i would never say the amount of people has left is solely because of the bosses and their bullet spongyness like op has. But the overall lack luster crap basket of a campaign we got yeah. Though it follows typical 343 storyline 60 for a love story 60 for a game that didnt know what it wanted to do and 60 for a half baked attempt at a 20 year release (for anniversary reason) ppppft woulda been happier with a halo 3 remake in the mcc maybe get more people back on that instead of the dumpster fire that is infinite

It was the other way around for me. It was the bosses that were annoying. I did not try Infinite on LASO yet. But if I do, I think I will bring the Scorpion turret with me.

He’s not hard and he’s not even the hardest fight in the game. He just takes forever.
