People need to stop defending 343i

Literally, 3 months later and the game still lacks basic game modes. You cannot defend it. 3 months later and we get pizza skins… and a br model from Halo 2… in Warzone. You people aren’t going to receive anything for defending 343i so why keep doing it? Liking the game or not is subjective but you literally cannot defend the way 343i does business with it’s customers.
Inb4 someone calls me “spoiled” for criticizing on a forum MADE for criticism.

I really wish 343 actually knew what halo is instead of making black ops 3 with shields ‘whoopty fu ck ing doo’

Wow you entitled brat. Shut up and be happy with what 343 gave you, they owe you NOTHING! insert more 343 defending comments
[even though you paid money for the game and expected something on par with previous halo games]

For a split second I took you seriously.

Same here, I was also ready to type something extremely rude.

I’m not going to defend the fact that the gametypes should be here by now, because in reality, they should be. There’s no excuse for their absence.

I will, of course, call out anyone who laughably thinks that making a simple skin takes away dev-time from the making of gametypes. And making such a point is ludicrous. The programmers, as well as the person who is in charge of them, should be held to blame, not the people who create assets and release them when they deem fit.

Also, people keep saying how they mutilated a lot of the weapon designs. Now the community suddenly doesn’t want the old ones back? And also, to correct your error, it can also be used in Forge. Look up your information before you post.

And in return, no one in their right mind can say (or defend) that a developer doesn’t deserve a holiday break, regardless of the shape of the game. (And I’ve met quite a few people who actually think this) Unless, of course, you’d prefer them to slave away at the game until some of them start developing actual health problems. And yeah, that’s an actual thing.

Game modes are coming, we cannot do anything but wait. Your raging on the forums will not speed it up.

IT CAN BE USED IN FORGE?!?! WEW!! YOU HAVE DEFEATED ME!! Even though the only real multiplayer gametype you can use it in is Warzone.

Seriously, get it together, you’ve completely missed the point. They had 3 years, let me repeat that, 3 YEARS to make this game, and 3 months after release it STILL doesn’t have the minimal amount of game modes/ content that a Halo game should.

I never said anything about game developers working until they develop actual “health problems” either, so i don’t know why you brought that up, i’m simply criticizing a product that i paid for.

You can play other games instead of waiting. I’m not raging either, just stating my thoughts on people who defend 343i.

You’re free to criticize them if you want, and other’s are free to defend them if they want. This topic has been brought up quite a few times now and it’s really getting old. Perhaps you should consider posting in one of 20 threads that already exist with a nearly identical title rather than creating a new one every 3 days

People are free to defend them, BUT there’s literally nothing to defend, if you defend 343i at this point you’re just an idiot who is trying to convince themselves that Halo 5 is good.
Also, i’ll post wherever i like, thanks.

After I saw a link to this ( https://www.halowaypoint.com/en-us/forums/d76f090378914a9bb85312f87cf09b99/topics/custom-games-are-still-unacceptable-343/e4cbf759-8581-4a09-b2fb-1a5224e62f08/posts ) in another thread i seriously don’t understand how people can still defend 343.
They failed again. Stop.

If there weren’t twenty other threads complaining when you started this one people might have a point. I think 343 screwed up in planning. They should have had at least one additional game mode out in the November or December update. My guess though is that they have all the updates planned (at least the game modes and such) through June. So when they don’t give us a game mode in November, December, or January it’s not because they don’t see all the complaints- it’s because they don’t have the resources to deliver them any sooner. They clearly underestimated how badly people wanted griff ball, infection and other things and overestimated how much people would like Warzone and the reqs. At this point there’s probably not much they can do to dramatically change the timeline, so continuing to start new threads and complain about it gets annoying. You don’t have to be happy, but you could try limiting your grousing to the other umpteen threads on the topic.

I really don’t see how this forum was ‘made’ for criticism. It was made to discuss the game, criticism is only part of that and there’s a dozen or more active threads containing it at any point in time.

There are a lot of areas of work that don’t get a break. My Fiancée for example only got Christmas and Boxing Day. She works in retail. It’s pretty much a given that she works over the holidays. She however does not make the money that 343i employees would make.

I’m not saying they or her don’t deserve the time off, but the reality is that certain professions and work sectors do still work over holiday periods. 343i must know the risks of launching games in bad states and then acting like they are fine. PR is a thing and they must know that launching broken games, and leaving them broken for months, or launching extremely content light games and then adding nothing but skins while you sit on the cash you made from both games is extremely bad PR.

Because serious post launch support was promised, that content should have been worked on before launch. It should have been ready to release on a regular basis. It should have been scheduled and worked on in that manner. Instead the gametypes and maps aren’t ready and because skins are easy, and the only money makers that is what people are getting.

It’s 343i’s management and the way it handles the franchise and releases that is the problem. The skins are what empathises this issue.

Why don’t you try reading the bolded of my post? I AGREED that they should be here now. Why don’t you get it together? You’re obviously only reading what you want to suit your rhetoric.

I’m just saying that ASSET CREATION (3D models, textures, and such) and PROGRAMMING have NOTHING to do with eachother. That doesn’t mean I’m giving them a free pass, I’m just pointing out that it’s a flawed argument to make. Applying a skin texture on top of an existing model isn’t the same as coding the parameters, options, and such of a gametype. Again, so it doesn’t fly over your head. THIS SHOULD HAVE BEEN HERE ALREADY.

Good lord, do you all have tunnelvision or something?

So what you’re saying is, you agree with me. Then why even create any more arguments? i never said anything about how applying a skin texture to an existing model is the same as coding a gametype. I simply said that after 3 months of the game being released, it still doesn’t have standard gametypes. I know creating a skin doesn’t take away dev time. So there’s no argument, you just stated information that didn’t need to be stated.

In your OP, you make such a point about gametypes not being there, but then use the pizza skin as a way to illustrate your point. (I dunno, maybe to indicate a level of incompetence from within 343?), even though this content would have been released even if gametype(s) were included this month.

Though, In reality, I’ve probably just seen enough people confuse such things with eachother to make my brain break at such implications. (I aspire to be a developer, myself) So I could be in error. I apologize in that case. You misunderstanding my previous post didn’t really help, though.

They are not defending 343i anymore, they just say that gamtypes and skins are made by different people.
Or they say “it is free so I would be deeply appreciative if you would refrain from speaking.!”
Both “arguments” are really bad.
Everyone that uses his/her brain already stoped defending 343i.
