“Stop comparing Infinite to COD” even though it used to directly compete with it and was only a few million away from matching it in sales throughout the 2000’s, now its “Don’t compare this Halo with the other Halo’s”.
Kinda funny too how they don’t want us making comparisons to anything popular even though Infinite’s shop is modeled around both Fortnite and Warzone’s shops lmao.
You were doing okay up until here. 343 has had over a decade so there is no excuse you or anyone for that matter can come up with to justify for multi-billion dollar company. They had all the resources they needed, there is no reason they should be slacking as bad as they actually are just because “it’s a live service game”.
They had 6 years, and they still couldn’t handle just adding the basics to the game. That’s absurd…
Sorry, not sorry but 343/Microsoft need to get their act together. Enough is enough with the BS excuses for companies like this.
Who cares? Don’t release broken games and don’t release a game that runs this poorly on almost all fronts. Communication has been slow and very little, and it took how long to fix BTB one of the biggest modes in Halo history? Dsync needs to be fixed ASAP and should’ve been first since it is the CORE GAMEPLAY. Increase your standards and have some pride.
343 seriously is coming off like a Inexperienced Game developer.
Like Fortnite drops new content in their sleep, while 343 WAS over there struggling with BTB.
I picture 343 main design team just running around with fire extinguishers and duct tape metaphorically.
I just don’t know how 343 which has the rights to Xbox’s signature IP franchise can’t even build a working game. They can blame the pandemic but I’m just saying Epic games was able to produce mad content during Covid…
343 at this point just sounds like they aren’t really that good of a developer team. Couldn’t even deliver a Co Op campaign. It’s kinda sad when Ghost recon Breakpoint had more a available features day one with a full open world. I think the whole ring is like maybe a corner of Aurora size.
343 getting outperformed by older games and an independent developer who has a much smaller budget at start.
Issues no other halo game had are the issues, i dont care if there is a premium market (still better than the rng of halo 5) the lack of maps, the ping issues, the no coop, the cheating (which has been a thing since halo 2 but no in game report option, where they can look at the last few matches to see if they are really cheating), the lack of playlists (especially when a weekly ultimate mission is buried within a random gametype like quickplay and like this week ranked) (WHICH RANKED NEEDS TO BE JUST REGULAR SLAYER (AND REMOVE OBJECTIVES LIKE CAPTURE THE FLAG) WITH BR AND NO RADAR)
I have defended 343 on some of their questionable choices, when you think they listen to the community they drop the ball on something else
Like for me this weekly ultimate killed my drive to even want to play this week, first I’ve missed since the beta launch
Ya, tried to. Do you know what I do when I want to relax? I usually play a game. Now, I expect that game to actually FUNCTION! Infinite does not do this, the core is broken.
It actually makes me wonder how much work was outsourced because looking at the past tittles 343 created vs now doesn’t add up. It’s like another company was creating Halo and this is 343’s first…
Considering the majority of their workforce are contractors that can only be there for 18 months and they rarely hire any of them for permanent employment? Ya it may as well be a bunch of inexperienced developers since there’s a constant rotation of devs who have to spend the first couple months learning the code only to have not enough time to implement/fix anything.
That requirement by MS for contractors is wild and should have been red flags for anyone. I don’t understand why they allow policies like that to exist and to impact literally their largest franchise for the xbox.
Bloody hell, the 343DF’s hopium/copium depency is getting sad.
"It’s not that bad, the core is really good , yeah there are things that have been messed up because of monetization, but we have a new Halo, we should be happy , and really, give them a few more years, and this will be the best game ever:smiling_face_with_tear:, once they fix the desync… and open up the armor core system… and create a proper rank up system… and fix custom games… and finish forge…
The thing is, the core gameplay IS good minus a few minor complaints. All they had to do was make sure the feature set was complete and the networking wasn’t trash before dropping the game. 6 years…they’ve been working on this stupid engine for 6 years just to drop us a game that looks like it only started development 1 year ago.
live service is no excuse to release a half baked unfinished game when we’ve had games in the same franchise for over a decade with much more content. Taking stuff away and then trickling in features we’ve had for years is not the way. The Halo community feels robbed and it’s warranted.
