With this new update which gave us forge and controls adjustments, I have to say thank you 343i. Now a lot of people dislike the new forge because on how we apparently now have to relearn the system. I understand that it is harder, yet I haven’t had a huge amount of time to actually mess with it. People say its missing objects and other things such as trait zones, kill balls, etc.
343 isn’t Bungie guys, and though yes Bungie gave us forge since Halo 3 and Reach, I can see how more user friendly the older versions were. Though it seems like a lot of people don’t remember that MM, forge and other things will be updated every month, now with what will be updated I don’t know but if we let 343i know of the issues, they can add in the items missing from forge, update MM and other things we need to make this game even more enjoyable.
They might not have the experience that Bungie has but give them time with this to make things work. I just want us to enjoy what we have. Even with the track record 343 has, there are reasons for it but give them another chance to prove us wrong and that they can make a great Halo game. Sure I have my issues with the game like no real armor customization like in Halo Reach, armor design is bad, missing items in forge, no campaign theater, etc but that isn’t stopping me from trying to enjoy the game for what it is.
It’s nothing to do with being Bungie, heck even Bungie aren’t Bungie anymore. What really matters is thinking about your audience as a whole not just your more hardcore audience. people complain because for the most part it seems that 343 gear everything towards the “pros"things like the lack of casual gamemodes at launch and complex forge controls with a lot of missing items gears only towards serious map making takes away from the previous Halo attitude that is " anyone can enjoy it”
Currently I love Halo 5 and play it almost daily, I think the maps could be better and content is still lacking but for the most part I enjoy it a lot. I do however has issues with forge (mainly the lack of a Grab button where you don’t need to hold down a trigger) but some people complain for the sake of it but for the most part people have valid reasons and just because you don’t agree with them doesn’t mean they are invalid.

Like the lack of Infection, a classic and must have gamemode that everyone could enjoy.

Classic? Yes. Must-have? Debateable, but I understand where you’re coming from. And didn’t infection start from a modified slayer variant in Halo 2?

And I agree I think they will but until then you can expect people to be upset. I also think that a lot of people do just get far to angry and aggressive on these forums but hopefully after a few more updates the game will be more suited to the general audience.
Halo is an established multi million dollar Microsoft funded franchise, if 343 aren’t up to task for any reason then maybe they should work somewhere else? We don’t have to give them a break because they’re new, Halo needs competent developers working on it and if they can’t deliver then there’s always the Indie games market. That may seem harsh but it is the counter to your argument.
I don’t believe for a second that they are incapable, if they constantly get trashed by the community and critics then they should step their game up, we are not required to be forgiving and if you look at most comments/reviews you will see that we haven’t been. If everyone clapped their hands and said Halo 5 was perfect then we would get nothing, Halo 5 is far from perfect and 343 are working to patch it, they are doing that based on Feedback from the Community. These posts serve no purpose and in my opinion are just as bad as none constructive posts simply saying “343 are garbage”
You need to accept that Feedback is not always positive and that it is made by fans who care deeply about the franchise, if you disagree with any feedback then come up with a good reason and form a debate, that encourages discussion. Do not ask us all to give them a break, we gave them a break when we collectively paid millions for the game.
The customer is always right and we’re the customers.

I believe it did, I was too young around Halo 2’s time to play or understand H2 properly or the Multiplayer. But a lot of Forge has revolved around the classic game mode, love what people made up for the maps. Someone even recreated “The Maw” from CE in Halo 4’s map, Erosion (or something, cavern map).
Yes infection started as a custom game in Halo 2 where you spawned with a Sword and pistol/shotgun and 2 people on green team the rest on red or whatever. Green uses swords and the other team used guns when you got killed you switched team to greena and used swords until every died, the classic map was foundation because you could block the doors with the boxes in the small rooms. This also had the issue that people would refuse to change team.
well we know that 343i is not Bungie, they now only use english in the Halo Channel, Halo Waypoint was easier to use, and have more support to different languages, I think they are doing a good job continuing the history before Halo 3, but the online is another world, It’s dealing with users that are not english native speaker is much worst
