I would say it’s bitter sweet as now the road through golds is even tougher. But when you get through it it will be easy to build req points and or get req packs as folds giver you back 6000 req points once you unlock everything.

That’s true.but it was unexpected I ha d 20 silver packs and on the 14th I think I was just getting req points

Buy req packs this way bronze->silver->gold or
silver->gold
My goal is to get the scout outrider helmet and the fotus chill rose body armor.

Well I think they need to fix it with level and campaign completion rewards its hard to beat halo 5 on legendary so when a person does beat it instead of geting a mythic armor set or something else they just say nope all you get is gamer score i think they should fix the prices too.When I do finish it it won’t be for nothing I get to tell my friends that I beat them in our req race but other than that your right when I do complete it I will probably never play halo 5 until I get bored of my other 30+ games

Congrats OP! I recently did this myself 
Unfortunately yes you are, Golds give you items that can be gained from Silver packs, such as rares, so if you buy Golds before you have all the rare and lesser items you are spending twice as much RP to get stuff you could get from a Silver. Go to your req collection and look if you have any commons left in any category. If you do, exclusively buy Bronze packs till they’ve all gone, then do the same with uncommon and rare with Silver packs. Otherwise you’re just throwing away req points, I must have got 40 Gold packs before I realised, but this is by far the most economical way to unlock reqs.

But gold grind is more fun because no matter what u get in a pack… it will be good… even if its just a helmet.

Yeah that’s not true double emblem unlocks and ugly armor are still popping up pretty regularly for me.
