Just played a game of Grifball where a player on the enemy team stood on top of another while on the ledge and hopped out of the Grifball arena. He then went and PICKED UP THE MACHINE GUN TURRET that for some reason is crucial to make sure everyone knows it’s Avalanche in the background and spawn killed us with it. Seriously did no one test if players could exploit out of the Grifball arena?? Also, no out-of-bounds zones around the Grifball court?? I love 343 and this game but WTF??

I was skeptical, checked his match history, sure enough one dude had like 34 kills with a chain gun turret.
Lucky no one grabbed the Ghost oustide the map and brought it in the arena… if that’s even possible.

The guy got a -Yoinking!- killionaire!! LOL
I had a team get outside and hold the ball while the others spawn killed, then after time was up and overtime almost over they scored at the last minute. Did the best I could and had 40 something kills but still died like 62 times. Even with thrust you can’t escape spawn trapping completely.
Anyone got any footage of this? That is -Yoinking!- hilarious tho

Haha Classic Halo! That’s great, I know it’s broken and frustrating but you gotta see the funny side. Try it yourself before it’s patched. I guarantee you CahingGunGuy was having a blast in that match! Back in H3 I think it was people would do the super jump on lockout, get on top of the lift tower and camp up there, it was pretty easy to spot them and was kinda pointless cos you could still shoot them from cover fairly easily. I got up there myself a couple times but could never pull it off in matchmaking.
I got outside of the map on antifreeze a few times just for fun too. There is pretty much a path to take when you do so it’s almost like it was put there on purpose like someone knew it would be fun to break the game.
There are other threads with the same issue, we need a fix asap.

I was searching online curious as to how to do this when someone did the same thing in a game I played and held the ball on the outside as the score was in their favor and stalled as much time as possible as nobody could reach them and found this but I actually figured it out and it’s pretty simple actually but takes timing and a few tries but you pretty much just jump on the ledge and look down(You should see you Spartans foot half way outside of the glass if you’re looking straight down as far as you can go against the glass) than jump in the air and wait as long as you can just before beginning to descend and hold the Smart-Link button down as soon as you feel your at the highest point you can jump than use the hammer to smash from there keeping the Link held and it should propell you high enough to where you can get on top of the glass if done at the right moment by quickly using the trigger to look up and pulling yourself up or using the thruster pack to boost yourself up.
Be careful to avoid the whitest parts of the snow and stick to darker areas or you’ll die but if you go up top of the cliff to the left of the red side and right of the blue(there’s a path hidden if you follow the cliff towards the red side up there) and use the spartan charge on the opposite side of arena to boost yourself past the whiter snow to where it is darker(you’ll see what I mean) on that side and follow the path(you’ll have to crouch at one point so you know you’re in right path) back towards the court than you’ll even find this silly stuffed whale you can beat around the map.
I practiced in a custom game by the way to get it sown and I’d recommend it so the game doesn’t end before you can ever get over by practicing in an actual game haha, good luck and enjoy!
(It’s actually easier, so after using the hammer to get up, keep holding forward and Smart Link and I’m not sure if jumping matters after using the hammer but I’ve used that as well and you can actually get around the map to the whale and turret easier exploring the ledges but it’s more trial and error because you die in the most random places and it isn’t the best photo but here’s a screenshot of the Grif Whale http://tinypic.com/view.php?pic=jrqs1w&s=9#.VtJC2-w8LCQ
