Why is that a thing. I understand if maybe you talked in the game. But I get like at least 1 a week. That shouldn’t be a thing
Growing your online community of friends is bad? I think you’re in the minority here, a lot of people do it so they assume that everyone else does it because its common and normal.
Some people just want to make friends while playing the same game. Others can’t accept having friends and have a need to tell people that Randoms are adding them and that it should not be a thing. D=
You could have a full fireteam in 11 weeks!
Most of the time, what they do is “follow” you like on any social media. If you don’t follow them back, you aren’t friends, they’re just your follower. It’s how Xbox decided to set up their social media news feed
There’s many reasons why one would do it.
- They’re wanting to try and find consistent people who play the same game
- They think you’re good and want you because you’ll help with Ws.
- Clan recruiting (I do this) where I’ll friend my entire recent players list, mass message them, and then unfriend them. If they say yes, I add them back. The reason I do this is cuz you can’t mass message random players like you could on 360, you can only mass message your friends list.
- You could possibly have maps/gametypes that they want, and in h5, the only way to download maps is to follow someone.
Actually a couple weeks ago, I randomly accepted a game invite from someone. We went back into MM and found another player. Then we connected with her main group. Now, I play with that same group every now and then. They really get into the game, too. It’s fun to get intense in this game sometimes.

It should be a thing. This way the people that search warzone alone can stop complaining that they cant make friends and actually search with a party.
I don’t think that is the correct way to make friends on Xbox is to friend everyone you play
Because they want you in your roster. If you dont like it private your settings for people you are friends with. I have about 100 followers who are people who have just added me. It doesnt bother me at all.

Turns out they were in a fireteam so they invited me and since then I play with them quite often.
Yeah, every blue moon I have a unbelievably good team carrying match and later I see a random who was on my team or the other friend me.
It’s really kind of funny since I’m not that greatly skilled.

That’s how I tend to make friends on xbox. Its actually how I met my nearly 6 year old friends too back when I was a wee squeaker playing halo.

I get about 20+ a day usually because this is my new low level account playing warzone and BTB. Anyone low level or new seeing a guy drop 40+ kills vs folks hardly hitting 10-15 will want to try and play with you. It may be a compliment
