People don’t want Halo to change, and they want everything the way it was back before. I saw one guy post that he wants an exact copy of Halo 2 with new maps, guns, and graphics, and he’d be set.
You say all these things, but what makes me raise an eyebrow is that you guys go out of your ways to bash Call of Duty for sticking to the same formula.
As much as I love Call of Duty, this is not what the topic of this thread is about. I’m just shocked that EVERY TIME I come here, I see the following thread titles:
-Lost my faith in 343
-Halo died with Bungie
-Why did they change the grunts
-Why is the DMR back
-Why is bloom back
-This is like CoD
-OFFICIAL Halo 4 boycott thread
and much more.
You guys spend countless of time trying to get 343’s attention and say that you want it like the old games, but you hate Call of Duty for sticking to the same formula, adding new weapons, and new maps. It just doesn’t click.
Another thing that makes me upset with this community at times, is that you assume people are “hardcore players” like you forumers. Not everyone is a forumer who has 400 posts on the message boards, buys every legendary edition, camps out at midnight, and has a limited edition mountain dew bottle. 80% of the people that play games like Halo, CoD, BF, Mass Effect are casuals.About 40% of the people who will buy this game don’t even know it’s coming out yet. Why would companies bend over backwards to benefit a smaller portion of the community?
A recent example is with the ME3 fiasco. 30,000 people signed a ME3 petition to stir up fan response but guess what? ME3 sold SIX MILLION copies. 30,000 people out of 6+ million is about 2% of the community. The vast majority of people have the SLIGHTEST clue about what was going on about the ending controvesry. What does that have to do with Halo? Everything. You guys are the vocal minority. This forum takes up about maybe 1% of the playerbase of the Halo community. Voice your opinion, by all means, but STOP. STOP. STOP acting as if you guys are the majority because you are not.
Thank you.
