More times than I can count I’ll see somebody running around the map with a sword; when they see somebody they (9 times out of 10) run up to them, trying to slash.
I find it rare that people use the strategy of pulling out the sword when you’re in range and shooting while you aren’t.
For example: If I have a sword and Camo, I’ll be shooting someone about 10 metres away with my DMR. Before my shields pop I activate Camo and run to the ‘conveniently’ close cover.
It seems as if I think the Camo will hide me and the enemy thinks I’ve ran for cover to avoid the headshot.
This is when I pull out the sword, completely unexpected.
Yeah I know, Cool story bro and all that.
Point is, have you ever seen someone in Asylum walking towards you from about ten metres away and being able to gun them down while they are frantically slashing or shooting a shotgun?
Anyway, It happens nearly every game in Asylum and always makes me laugh.
Just something to think about.

People should really at least try to learn to use the AR, rather than complain about how broken the game is because they can’t win with the DMR in CQC.
Yeah its funny to see people running around with the sword. whenever i see my enemies do that, i will specifically target them if they are far enough away. if its my teammates i honestly yell at them to put it away. They always seem to have it out running around.
Heck sometimes i see them running around with it out using jetpack or something like that. its annoying reguardless ifthey are my teammate or enemy. >_> you make your self like the biggest target.

Yeah same here. dont get me wrong if im staying behind a walled walkway and someone does happen to walk past me ill sprint the few meters and try assassinating them. but im not going to go out of my way to try it. squat and team slayer, sometimes i do, but not swat. hahaha

Yeah I agree with this.
I always make sure my weapons are either complimenting each other or taking the ranges properly.
i.e. I never have two cqb weapons at once or a DMR and Needle Rifle.
