People complaining are annoying..

I’ve been seeing hella threads of people crying about Infinite and how it’s not 100% what they imagined. Lol the world doesn’t revolve around you bud. How do you guys already have your -Yoink!- in a bunch when the game hasn’t even released yet? Just shut up, you’re literally making the game less hype by talking crap about it. Let’s focus on the good things. Halo Infinite is releasing! (something that would’ve never happened if 343 didn’t pick up what Bungie abandoned.) Multiplayer is free and we have a battle pass! This is -Yoink!- awesome, when I saw ppl btching about this I started laughing. How can you be mad at free multiplayer? Now your friends don’t have to purchase the full game just to play with you, that’s great IMO. I personally have BEEN wanting a battle pass in Halo, I believe it’s a perfect way of keeping the community active with the game and not get bored of it so quickly. Overall, just try to see the glass half full, a lot of you guys are taking Halo for granted and choose to see the glass half empty. Do you know how many people that want to play the newest Halo have passed away these past few years and here you are crying like a spoiled little brat because it’s not what you want? Come on man, we’re the Halo community, we’re the -Yoink!- OGs of online gaming! Let’s support 343 and spread positive energy. How do you expect a company to listen to their community when all they do is complain even when they deliver content? If I were 343 I would purposely make Halo as bad as possible if I had to deal with such a toxic community. Thank you for coming to my ted talk.

If you think people complaining are annoying, can you stop complaining about it?

the community of this site has always been negative of any change or sceptical piece of information that 343 puts out if you’ve not been here long you can expect things not to change much as negativity thats pinpointed at every single aspect of the game will continue and those with inflated expectations of the game on release will come and vent until they are content or simply leave.

I agree I was someone with such expectations for Halo 4 & lowered them from Halo 5 and now infinite around the corner all I’m doing is waiting for it to release before I make any criticism of the game as i’m looking at the outside pressure 343 are going to be under along with a lot of other things.

If you find such people annoying it might be the case you need to step away from the forum a bit or try to find exactly why such people are finding the issue with the new piece of information or feature annoying.

Your like a sheep not understanding wolves problems. Your opinion doesn’t concern wolves but ya know what… its pretty annoying. You don’t think about the bigger picture or the implications behind the decisions the company is making. You don’t understand how things that seem good on the surface can actually be detrimental or negative to the game as a whole. The reality is if the glass is half full everyone will come to see it as half empty thats why the wolves complain sheep because we want the glass full from the start. If we accept anything less all the fallen wolves would’ve died in vain I personally don’t want them turning in their grave do you little sheep? Because that’d be F’d up even for a sheep.

Yeah and what if that battle pass has game modes like ranked play locked behind it… You know how many people that’s going to piss off that they have to buy some stupid pass every three months just to play ranked. we don’t know what they’re going to do with the battle pass system if it’s just going to be cosmetic crap or not. That also being said if certain cosmetic things can only be bought you know how many people that’s going to piss off too. Here’s the answer a lot!

Multiplayer being free might attract a whole bunch of fans off the bat but for the long run it might not. Not to mention with these type of games you always get more people cheating. So I hope 343 have a good anti-cheating setup. Just depends how it is and their system set up. There’s a lot of things we don’t know yet so people that actually take a step back and think about it have every right to be concerned instead of just blindly following them and thinking this is going to be incredible.

I would say most of the community is not negative, they’re just being cautious. Lots of people were hyped up for Star wars battlefront 2 and that didn’t go over so well until they massively overhauled the game. So again I think people have every right to be pretty cautious here as we know nothing. 343 should have explained their setup for this as well when they announced multiplayer would be free because now people are just going to be sitting around speculating spreading rumors and waiting. Again to me that’s a poor choice and I think the only reason why they confirmed this is because it got leaked.

Did we read the same text? I actually found the original post to be incredibly negative and accusatory.

I cannot fathom the positivity here.
People have every right to complain and its not because it isn’t exactly what they wanted. It’s because the game with all the info we have been provided sound like it will be the death of the franchise. Let’s be honest nothing shown or said is without major issues and the monetization on this game given the budget will be dreadful if its to profit especially when it’s going f2p. You can play damage control and app9lo3for things 343 have done but don’t go calling people who respect themselves and the ip enough to see what a hot mess this is annoying. Just because you don’t care about quality doesn’t mean the community should lay back and take this kind of disrespect. “oh halo I fi ite is a return to classic halo” “the side kick replaces the m series shotty also not in the game at launch” mmmmmm I sure love havi g to buy reqs to use a halo pistol or shotgunin a “classic” halo

You realize the irony in your title right?

Thank you! someone had to say it.

Sorry, after those awful things they did or want to be implemented like free to play MP [cheaters dream) why shouldn’t people complain?

This community isn’t negative necessarily. Microsoft is doing to Halo as what Disney did to Star Wars. Trying to make every buck they can out of it. 343 has had alot of hiccups and now they are more than 8 years old so these aren’t due to being new. They try to oversell us alot. And the product has seldom met the demand of what the community wanted. A good amount of the mistakes where I felt underwhelmed:

-Halo 4’s short 2 week multi-player experience after buying all the doritos and mountain dew for xp boosts
-Spartan Ops story completely written out by halo 5 (What about the Janus Key or Chiefs modifications from the Librarian?)
-Halo MCC’s entire launch where I bought an Xbox One to play and was utterly disappointed. I took the day off to play and was pretty pissed.
-Halo 5 being held back a year to be perfected only to launch with minimal content. 3 chief missions?
-I bought my Dad an Xbox One so we could play since there was NO SPLIT SCREEN in Halo 5 but that didn’t matter as the campaign was not replayable anyways
-Halo 5’s complete attempt to get you to buy all the books and comics to understand the story when it wasn’t prevalent at all.
-Halo 5’s Hunt the Truth Marketing Flop
-No Reach styled Firefight in any of 343’s titles
-Promises of Beta Flighting for all future titles and to not keep us in the dark when things weren’t going well (since they have a bad track record) then having the LONGEST DROUGHT of Halo info ever.
-2018 Halo Infinites engine demo compared to the gameplay we got now. No way you just said “oh let’s just show them an older demo” after we have been going through a content drought getting new info from TOYS. 343 built hype up for nothing.

We call them out on it. If they are going to sap money out of our pockets they might as well listen to their fans end of story. They have the money and staff to fully encompass from the community what we expect out of a Halo game and replicate it and when they leave out certain aspects of the game without thoughts to bring forward those aspects then the community has the right to have a response.

If 343 had kept their promise and kept us informed instead of eagerly snickering while they waited to surprise us with less than what we expected just a couple months before release then there would be a lot less complaining. The content drought built SO much hype and DID NOT deliver. That’s their fault. Every snippet we have seen so far has had mind blowing graphics (the series x trailer, 2018-2019 infinite trailer, and the step inside trailer was what I was expecting)

This game has one of the largest budgets of any game. There is no excuse. Watching my fathers love for Star Wars fade as to mine with Halo are both the same here. Just people with too much money taking it for granted.

Literally some of the community came together to make Installation 01. If they were satisfied with 343’s product nobody would be trying to make their own Halo game. Just give us what we want. Old and new 343 needs to stop expanding the game if they don’t want to keep and update the aspects that people enjoyed in the past titles. Halo Infinite has to be a CULMINATION of all we’ve experienced.

It’s got to be INFINITE.

Complaining without solution is no good, but constructive criticism is what helped make past Halo title the best they could be.

I agree it is not as grim as it seems, but how on earth are people okay with battlepass? In comparison to H3 and Reach customization system it PALES in comparison. We can already see that with Halo Reach on MCC. All the same unlocks are there but it is not as engaging because of the progression system surrounding it. The battle pass essentially forces you into a linear unlock system, and forces you to unlock certain armor pieces before others. That is ridiculous. I should be able to ignore all the armor I dislike to save for my favorite armor in the game. It essentially ties what you have unlocked directly to your level, making the overall unlock diversity the exact same. If I want to save up for a specific armor and unlock that one when my friend would rather buy every armor he unlocks, I will be able to purchase mine quicker, but he will have more armor unlocked, and that diversity is good for the community.
