people complaining about halo 4

i don’t know why you guys are complaining about the game weather it be the story or multiplayer or what ever. don’t you guys ever think about how much time and work go into games today. people act as if the developer waves a magic wand and a game is made. it take years to make a game hundreds of people working together and if one miscommunication it can destroy the entire programing structure or make the game not work. I know 343 isn’t Bungie but now a days with the demand for game sequels are so high and the time people want the games to be out is just annoying. playing online people are gonna exploit the system. halo could of ended at halo combat evolved. and half of the games today that you love and play would of had no inspiration in being created. Call of duty, gears of war, and many other games would of not existed if they didn’t have some inspiration. be grateful you have a halo 4 because a lot of us did not believe there would be a game that would take place after halo 3. this game had all the elements to make a exceptional shooter. a story that pulls you in making you feel for characters. fast balanced multiplayer that allows you feel like your achieving something. good graphics that give it a gritty natural look. good voice acting that blends seamlessly into the game. guys get over yourselves if you want to play call of duty go and play call of duty with all the other cod fans. personally this halo game never diverted you to radically different environments where there was no explanation on how you got there. people need to understand it is hard to just start with a unique slate without saying it’s been done before. i think 343 knocked this game out of the park keep up the good work. and people learn the difference between the intentions of a game developer and a gamer the developer wants everyone to have fun and the gamer wants to be the best and the gamer with use any and all means to do so. and the developer will try to balance the game out to make it fun for you and prevent exploits as much as possible with out wreaking there script that makes the game work.

I think your return key is broken.

> I think your return key is broken.

it’s a crapy laptop and the return key is hardly useable if at all but thanks

As far as them making the game balanced, they let the DMR slip through the cracks, which IMO is breaking this balance that they are trying to establish. I’m not 100% happy with the game yet because of a lot of small issues within the system at the moment, and if it took so long to create this game you think they could have spent some more time to work out a lot of the very very small kinks that annoy me personally.

I was partially joking but okay. Can’t provide any input as I can’t really read what you posted.

One thing that modern game developers need to learn (and the sooner the better), is that quality still trumps quantity. Clearly, a colossal effort went into crafting the amazingly intricate environments in Halo 4, but such effort has overshadowed basic map functionality. And while the sound effects are those of a high-budget Hollywood film, they continuously drown out important dialogue in the campaign. Older games, like the original Halo, had vastly less elaborate graphical and acoustic presentations, but they nailed the core concepts such as storyline, intuitive gameplay, and, above all else, FUN.

Yes, 343 Industries put in a tremendous amount of work, but they put most of it in the wrong place.

i was just stating people should be grateful with the amount of work that go into games these days.
and if they don’t like the game they don’t have to play it

I honestly don’t know how I managed to read that whole thing, but there’s a lot about Halo 4 that people can legitimately complain about. 343 SHOULD have spent the time and effort to beta test. There are too many simple issues that should never have arisen, like the fact that we lost the ability to do micro-moves in Forge; other things like how much trouble their servers have been having lately.

Keep in mind that although they spent a great deal of time, money and effort on H4, 343 is not above reproach.

And this is where we discuss the things about the game that really don’t work.

Halo 4 is a great game. What makes me mad is that they removed so many little things that made Halo fun to play. A Halo 2/3 style ranking system; all the stat tracking from H2; things like removing the X from your body when dead; 10 sec spawn times that make the game more competitive than hectic; not scoping out when shot; and perhaps most of all DROPPING THE FLAG!
