So this has happened to me numerous times, i would pick up a sniper or rocket launcher & one of my teammates would betray me for it, pick up the weapon and start tea bagging me, again this hasnt happened on one occasion it has been happening multiple times in halo 5. Is there anyway i can report these people that are doing this? If so what are the steps in doing so?
Report them for unsporting behavior via xbox live.
To do this, open their Xbox profile on your console (you should be able to do this by selecting their GT in Halo 5 and clicking “open Gamercard” or something like that). With their gamercard open, you should see a report option near the bottom. Click on that, and it should give you options on what kind of report to file. “Unsporting Behavior” matches this case the best; you can further add a comment if you want to specifically write out what the player was doing wrong.

That’s a shame I’ve seen it myself either for power weapons or vehicles. The right idea is report them that’s what I do I had a teammate keep shooting my ghost damage it so bad enemy took what seemed to be 1 shot boom dead. I went through the video to find out the name and reported them. Unfortunately you’re going to find people like that I now mainly play with members of my Spartan company. If someone messes with 1 of us they mess with us all I’m sure we’d get them to quit. I’d reccomend finding an active Spartan Company then from the friends list you can see the members online and send invites. Less people for a chance of that happening if you’re looking for 1 let me know in a pm. I’ll see if we have an opening and talk to my people nice people and I promise you won’t have 2 deal with that. That’s true for most good active Spartan companies.
I think we are always going to have people who do this. Its been a thing since Halo 3 (as far as I’ve experienced) and as new people get the games and “want to be the star and use the cool guns”, then we will always be plagued by people who kill for the power weapons.

I agree everyone wants the power weapons the only way to have a really good chance is try to play with friends and possibly have a full team. I personally don’t care if I have a teammate that is a beast with a power weapon let them use it anything to help the team win.
Wonder if they could make it so that if you are betrayed after picking up power weapon you couy get a '‘mark the betrayer’ option?

This doesn’t happen to me anymore. If I grab a power weapon and I see a teammate acting suspiciously I will not hesitate on taking them down so I can keep that weapon. This is why I like to play FFA.

I agree take them out lately I’ve had problems with idiots on my team in BTB using Spartan charge on me which weakens you. Most times enemy only needs 1 well placed shot and you’re dead. Yesterday I had enough someone Spartan charged me then took off I Spartan charged him and betrayed him. He came back and used a rocket on me while in a ghost killed me I respawned got the other rocket spawn and killed him that ended it thankfully. FFA is nice if they had it in social arena ranked playlists I find have too many people hard up on getting higher ranks in the playlist. I couldn’t care less so if FFA was in social arena also I’d probably play it.

I reported only after it happened in 3 games straight it then happened in 2 more games that day only seems to be in BTB 4 me. It wasn’t by the same person granted but I had enough and was fed up so the 3rd 4th and 5th got reported. Honestly if they are doing things 2 damage other people’s good time in the game they deserve what they get. Its simple just don’t betray 4 power weapons or vehicles I find it happens 4 the sniper more than other weapons imo.

I report. I find sniper is the weapon I am most likely to be betrayed over, but had a ranked Slayer match that a teammate was trying to kill me because I took the BR. The freaking BR, not a H2BR, not the LR. I play 20 matches and I see someone pick up the BR maybe once and there is a second BR (we were on Plaza).

Thats upsetting man, i wish once we reported we could be notified if any actions were taken.

I’m just going 2 say there’s sum ridiculous people playing this game. Its meant 2 be fun for everyone people need 2 stop being selfish and just focusing on their fun. I see betrayls happen in grifball 4 the ball all they do is run the ball straight to the other goal and die every time. That or they just throw the ball on the other side of the map 2 the other team people ruin others good time. I get tired of killing the ball carrier 2 get the ball only 2 get betrayed 4 it and they don’t know what 2 do with it. I’ve been reporting people every time they betray 4 the ball I do wish we’d get notified if any action is taken.
