People bash the library because it's hard

I mean, isn’t this the truth?
I mean, I find shooting down hordes of enemies quite fun.

343 Guilty Spark has more confusing level progression. AoTCR has just almost just as repetitive environments.

Seriously, I feel as though this is it. The Library is hard, therefore people bash it. This is the reason why some people can’t beat Halo 1 on legendary.

  • The Library is not hard, you just need to know how to play.

And it’s true that 343 is more confusing but if you know it well then it isn’t a problem.

And those who bash this level are in minority on the forums.

I personaly think that the libray is not the hardest level on legendary solo.

I wasn’t aware that people actually bash the level. I know people dread having to play it, but that is definitely because it is difficult.

I don’t understand how people say it is hard to navigate. I got through it just fine, and i haven’t played it in 10 years.

It’s my favorite level. :stuck_out_tongue:

The only reason people bash the level is because its limited about the enemy spawns and the AI being more than content to run up on you with a noobtube before nuking you.

I finished the Library earlier on Legendary by myself and yes it was a major pain on certain spots. But luckily I knew some tricks to help me get through the level rather quickly and skip some of the fights. I was even surprised I managed to get the Speed Reader achievement as I believed I couldn’t obtain that unless I had someone to help me. But yeah when me and my friend played on the original it took us THREE hours to beat that level on Legendary because we went through the whole thing blasting the flood and running like hell. The Flood on that level basically swarm you to death and you get destroyed a lot and it doesn’t help when you have to defend a position and wait for that floating humming -Yoink!- to return. But besides that, I think the level that gave me the most trouble was Two Betrayals mostly because I was going for that achievement for not picking up another gun. That level sucked to do alone.

It’s get hated on due to poor map design (in the original). The extra lighting does help but then you have to deal with all those damn flood.

Not has bad as dealing with Frost Trolls though. >.<

Leave It Where It Lay is very easy. You don’t need Co-op or Bandanna.

Out of all the Halo games that I have played, CE is the hardest even in Heroic. I can’t even imagine playing it on Legendary. Especially on The Library…

The Library isn’t that hard on Legendary in my opinion.

I personally think Truth & Reconciliation and Two Betrayals are much more difficult.

The library Rock’s out and out and one of the best missions on legendary packing pistol and shotgun and no elites with there recharging shields just hordes of flood to exterminate

I always argue that the Library was ans still is a brilliant level. Most everyone that plays Halo knows it well. Even people that don’t play campaign much know the Library. It infamous like no other Halo campaign level. And damn does it feel good when you reach the last floor. What a relief.

The Library isn’t hard, it’s just boring as **** and filled with bad encounter design.
