I checked my rep and noticed that 25% of people avoided me for being “aggressive” and 75% for “unsporting” and I have no idea why. Can anyone think of any reasons that people whould vote that way. (If I got voted down at all I would think it would be skill related but I have no negative votes for that at all)
Some notes: I do not have a headset, and I NEVER go against the rules or do anything “unsporting”
Any ideas/suggestions?

how do you check you’re rep?
I find that if your a good player and tend to be the best player on the winning team, players from the losing team will avoid you. Your lucky, iv looked at mine and im at 80% for being avoided. I blame Halo Wars for this.
Stop betraying people for the sniper
I’ve played two games of Matchmaking on this account and I’ve had nothing but negative feedback on it.
Most of the time it’s because people don’t like you for beating them. Other times they do it just to be -Yoinks!-.
You check your rep by pushing the center button on your controller then scroll over to the far left (I believe) then select the “profile” option then select “rep” from that menu. That was from memory but I’m pretty sure that’s it though.

Push the X button on your controler
Scroll over to settings
Click on Profile
Scroll down to Rep
Actually I am at 80% avoid too.
i’m 100% avoided. 12% trash talk 50% unsporting 25% quit early the rest for being above their skill level. fine by me it is all people i wouldn’t want to ever see again anyway.

I noticed mine took a dive on Reach once I started getting better at the game. Most people are apparently not aware that you can avoid a player by skill which does not affect Rep.

That is probably the reason, but I wish people would only mark you down for more serious things if you really deserve it. Marking me for aggressive or unsporting because I defeated someone is not very sporting of them actually.
If they want to be grouped with me less then they should have it be a skill reason not an unsporting reason.
I have a very odd list of why people have avoided me as well, over aggressive is my favorite though, the games called Shooters for reason, what are we supposed to do, hand out flowers? If so there are those really beautiful red ones on Complex, but I am sure you can not pick them, lol

it does, but you just don’t see it. 13% of my negative feedback is based on skill. peoples feeling would get hurt if they saw everyone was avoiding them for “does not understand game”
hey no big deal not like it matters im about 98% avoided because all i did in halo 3 was -Yoink!- and own kids so its just people getting mad

You would think if they avoid you for something other than skill then they would surely see right on the same menu the option to avoid for skill. But yeah apparently people do that because I have done nothing to deserve what I have been avoided for.
Ignore the rep system, people are idiots.
I had a free trial when I was broke and couldn’t afford to renew my main. I made a new account and didn’t ever use a headset with it (Again, was broke).
At the end of the trial, having never spoken a single word, I was shocked to see 30% avoided me because of the language (Forget exactly what it is called) option.
So yeah ignore it, idiots deliberately give you bad reviews without justification. It isn’t a system where they can only file if they can support their claim, they get to basically just call you a witch.
It sucks I know, but there is nothing to do about it.
People avoid other players who kick their butt, and they usually avoid by ‘unsporting conduct’.

Thanks, I’ll remember that. I wish they made it so that someone had to at least include a reason for why they select what they do.
Mines similar around 60% avoided or so, people seem to dislike being defeated it would seem.
