People are still quitting early, its annoying!!

Dont you guys just f’ing hate it when some random on your team leaves early? It sucks, and its still happening nonstop!

I know some things just dont go away, but its almost as if that so called penalty system 343 implemented doesent even seem to work. People every now and then will leave for unapparent reason here and there and the matches become unbalanced and unmatched, outnumbered. When that freakin happens, you have almost no choice and no way to stop yourself from losing the dang game. And since their is a true Competetive skill ranking system in the Master Chief Collection, your whole gameplay counts towards you. And its pretty hard to survive an onslaught of four to one. So please 343, all i am asking is if you guys can somehow in someway with your guy’s little magic of yours please do something about this. Im not much of a guy to quit early, so i hate it when kids on my team abandon me sometimes in matchmaking, its almost as if i have to make a Noble 6 Lone Wolf standoff. No matter how hard you try and give an effort, you still will not win. And im sure plenty of people can agree with me on this.

Quitting is the new reality. Quit bans don’t stop it. Exp/Rank loss doesn’t stop it. Join-in-progress remedies the symptom without addressing the underlying cause, and it manages to infuriate a lot of players in the mean time, so no real answer there. I really don’t know what they could do short of threatening outright console bans (not gonna happen) to try to keep people in the game. But just remember: What good is a team mate who wanted to quit but didn’t because of some perceived penalty? Sometimes they just put down the controller and wait for the end of the game. Sometimes they just rush the enemy in order to get killed and end the game more quickly. Sometimes they kill their own team mates because this is Halo and we have friendly fire. Let’s face it. Quitting was sort of baked into the MCC pie from the outset.

The people that quit most likely come from Call of Duty, a game where quitting doesn’t even matter

Not everyone that quits early are earlier quitters. Sometimes it will switch hosts and will kick you, or while loading may kick you as well, etc. Overall sometimes its because of a server problem.

No. People have been quitting in Halo since the beginning. I remember playing Halo 2 on the original xbox many years ago and getting annoyed because you would be guaranteed to have at least one quitter every single game. This was well before call of duty

It’s a balancing act. I can’t count how many times I’ve been left to “Lone Wolf” a game. Sometimes you’re the only semi-good player on your team and sometimes it’s just a lack of communication. I remember before Halo MCC people were always talking to each other ‘in-game’ and now it seems like no one uses their headsets anymore, no position call-outs, no smack talk, no anything.

You said it, bro. Once I was playing a team slayer and the other team left the game and that made the server unstable and made everyone get kicked out of the game B(

I have noticed that this seems to happen all the time as well. Predominantly it tends to be when Halo 3 maps are selected, at least in Big Team Battle where I have been playing. It is very annoying, especially when the matches are 20 minutes long to compensate for the lack of mobility.

Quitters are a nightmare in ranked.

What they should do;

1st quit - 5 min time out
2nd 15
3rd 30

etc

The only thing they need to get right regarding this is if the player dashboarded or hit start and leave, or if they were kicked or lagged out. If they can differentiate between the two then this could be a good system, but lets be real, they’re not going to get it right.

Your best bet is go into games with a full team so if anyone is going to quit they will be on the other team and you won’t lose rank. Sad but true.

This happen to me sometimes, whenever my teammate are getting killed they all quit and I’m the only one who getting murder by a lot of the enemy. Here proof.

What do you expect with the ridiculous way this game is setup? You can’t just search for people who want to play BTB on Halo CE or objective on Halo 3. Why should we stay when people vote Halo 4 in BTB if we hate Halo 4? If there were proper search and gametype options, there’d be less quitting. A year and a half later it’s still almost entirely slayer. No dedicated objective list(s), no multi-team, action sack, grifball or even infection. It’s a joke. There’s still nothing resembling skill based matching for non-ranked lists, no ranked FFA, no betrayal booting (at least in doubles), and no proper controller mapping options. I can’t stand using B for melee when right bumper worked so much better on Reach. Developers nowadays refuse to give the players proper options to control their gaming experience. They want control over everything. Just like the credit cap on Reach. I’ve been Inheritor on my other account since July 2011, and I still rage when I see that message. I’d have 150 million credits by now if not for that cap. All I run into on there now are Mexicans, bad kids pulling host, and modders using aim bots. “Avoid player” never worked and never will. I can’t go through teleporters in over half the matches I’m in on Anniversary Classic, and some matches it’s painfully obvious that none of my shots count because the lag is so bad. Yet, I can’t quit or I get banned for 15 minutes. 343 can go screw themselves. I’m not buying Halo 5 unless I’m extremely impressed when I rent it.
