You know, when I heard that Bungie would no longer be making Halo games, I was devastated. My childhood game, my favourite franchise would no longer be available for me to enjoy with friends throughout my life.
So after hearing that Halo was not dead. I alike millions of other Halo fans were ecstatic. Which brings me to the topic of this post.
Why is everyone in this forum so -Yoink–faced and hateful towards a game, and company that only wants to keep a gaming favourite alive?
Sure Halo 5 may not be what you expect, and maybe there are things that you don’t like about the game. But does that really warrant all the “halo 5 is a failure already”, “343 devs should kill themselves”?
I think all the “disappointed” fans of this amazing game (and series) just need to take a step back and appreciate what they have been given, and will continue to be given.
“But-but there are no BR starts! I demand being able to spawn with a BR and kill people from half the map away without having to bother looking around the map for weapons!! How can you be competitive otherwise!”
Sadly, if 343I had put BR as the standard start weapon, you would still see comments like these flooding the forums.
Do you people actually think Bungie is trustworthy? Armor Lock, Destiny, Halo Reach,… People are just so huge Bungie fanboys it is sickening.
And I am not saying 343I is perfect, and I hate decisions like removing Split-Screen, but Halo surely is better off with then than with Bungie.
I love this game, and I’ve been down on Halo since Reach started the decline for me. Having the most fun I’ve had since Halo 3 despite team balances being off, I usually either win big and do great, or lose big and do bad. I do have a few close and even games but it’s usually a blowout one way or the other. But still having fun!

Will those things include a campaign that actually matches the advertisements? One with a plot that isn’t full of bad pacing where nothing is explained to the player, no plot-threads from Halo 4 are carried over and the squad mechanic is a shell of what could have been?
Yep the game may be amazing for you but Halo had such a good standing and great community around halo 3 and reach and Im assuming most of them left being the people that played custom games because I can’t find anyone playing them back in halo 3, reach I used to get messages after every multiplayer game or even after a couple of games for invites to zombies games or a brand new gametype someone made up I feel like no of those people are playing anymore and now the game is just repetitive multiplayer nothing to have fun in with games like Fallout 4, Battlefront and Call of duty Black ops coming out I fail to see why people defend this game that barely has any content and even the content to come is lacking imagination, 343 havn’t really done much with halo since 4 they have even started removing or making the game function badly when it comes to lack of user created content, removing Infection from custom games (I mean even having it included with the game is a must since 3 why not include it in the base game so players can make their own fun) with no fileshare, no top rated custom games, no top rated theater clips and pictures these were where the series was in it’s prime Halo 3 and Halo Reach, why remove it why turn the game into a mlg wannabee game and have no emphasis on fun and custom games no reason to stick around for the long run when we have games coming out that include content designed to be hundreds of hours more fun than halo 5 of course we are going to be wondering what the -Yoink- happened in development I mean even the advertisements showed the campaign was an entirely different game to what fans expected I’m not a bungie fanboy I’m a fan of games that are fun and in fact Halo reach and Halo 3 have been more fun and were more fun than Halo 5 and destiny combined Bungie was a better company when it was working on Halo oh well Black Ops is were all of my friends are so I would rather jump over there it looks way more fun than going down with this sinking ship.

Man. Remember Halo CE where the game ended with you on a longsword? Then halo 2 had you back at Earth?! Crazy how they filled that in with…Nothing.
Or Remember when 2 ended and you were on the Prophets ship and 3 started and for some reason you were falling from the sky. And then it took the ship forever to even land!

What are you smoking? Halo 2 carried over from 1 with Chief getting back to Earth. At the end of 2 Chief rode the Forerunner Dreadnought back to Earth and took a piece of it down to the surface as a heat-shield. Halo 5 carries over NOTHING from Halo 4. No Didact, No Librarian, No Janus Key, No Halsey’s revenge, No discovering Chief’s humanity. None of it. Its all thrown away from a completely new plot that comes out of nowhere. Sure some of it is KINDA explained in Escalation but even the barely so. Thats completely besides the point.

What are you talking about. Halo 2 gave no clue how he got back to Earth. 3 gave no clue what or how he came down to the surface.
Don’t go talking like the past games had a perfect plot. Halo CE was just go here kill them. Halo 2 was go here and kill them some more. Heres some new weapons.
No game has had any backstory on the Chief except for 4.
Reach went ahead and threw out all previously known canon because Bungie said “why the hell not” a

That is only one aspect. I didn’t like amour abilities in reach as part of the loadouts, especially amour lock, but other than that it was a really good game.
Whereas in 343’s games, there are many, many aspects that make the entire game horrible.

The original Halo story was great. Just because it wasn’t exactly complicated, doesn’t mean it was bad. Also the original Halo’s are much funner than the newer Halo’s, and that’s what matters most.

Many people have already done that, including myself in the past, maybe when i have more time I can list everything for you, but until then look around, or look at Angry Joes review.

You didn’t NEED to know the tiniest details like just how John got back to Earth in Halo 2 to understand the plot of the game though. Unlike Halo 5, hell at least Halo 2 and 3 continued from their previous games. Halo 5 doesn’t continue -Yoink-. Also “3 gave no clue what or how he came down to the surface.” Did you miss the entire first cutscene of the game?
