Yea I want the ability to turn crossplay off completely. MnK have a big advantage in this game.
Everyone is talking about mixed inputs. I want a feature to disable mixed systems. There will be soon hacks available for pc players…
@SkiddyCornet416 Unfortunately, this is what we have to expect. Happend to most of the popular F2P games (Apex, Warzone as one of the worst examples, and many more and even paid games).
So, once more:
- Input-based match making as default across all modes/playlists
- Option to opt-out from either PC platform or Xbox, or in other words an in-game option to disable cross-play
They do this because aiming on controller is so weird/bad right now that you cannot compete against MnK at all.
Do it like MCC. It’s even the same studio in the same franchise in the same genre. How can one be so daft???
There’ s even this option in the game right now, but only for the ranked playlist! I cannot understand why they didn’t give us this option for the rest of the playlists…I’d rather wait a couple more minutesto find a match with all console players (and in the same region) than getting throw in an insane unbalanced match!
Controller feels by far worse than any Halo game on here. I just cannot use it.
As a M&K player, I absolutely agree. I don’t want to play against inputs that do the aiming for you.
I see your point and I respect it even if I dont completely agree with your statement. Another reason to split the playlist and everyone would be much happier, no?
I guess the 1 person you know Overrules the issue said by many people. Go figure
I guess the 50 people expressing their concerns on the forums overrules the tens of thousands of players playing the game. Go figure
Its a lot more than 50 people addressing the crossplay issue. but if you need us controller players to stay in crossplay lobbies to boost ur terrible k/d on KBM then thats sad. Go figure.
I can maintain my terrible k/d with or without crossplay lobbies, thank you. But unlike you, every placed shot I make on KBM is done by me, not my artificial aiming machine (Aim Assist) that you controller players love so much (and are actively trying to get more of lol).
Well theres nothing to maintian since its terrible, Ok good for you that you can land all your shots on KBM and I’m sure I could do that too if I was to use KBM. Go figure THATS HOW PRECISE YOU CAN BE WITH KBM ITS A WHOLE ARM VERSUS A THUMB ON A JOYSTICK ON A CONTROLLER.
And if ur not landing all your shots on KBM then there’s something wrong with you mentally.
Well if you haven’t noticed my preferred input is controller because thats what I enjoy to use with my friends who also use it like how you use KBM with your friends and 1 friend that seems to overrule the whole crossplay issue. Go figure.
If 343 continues to force controllers into KBM lobbies then we need an aim assist buff because it literally doesn’t exist and I’m not saying on “AiMbOt” level. Although that would be nice to have too
Yeah you would be right for saying you land all your shots on KBM if it wasn’t for 343 giving KBM players aim assist in infinite. SO I DON’T KNOW WHAT YOU’RE TALKING ABOUT THAT YOU LAND ALL YOUR SHOTS ON YOUR OWN WHEN YOU GUYS ALSO HAVE THAT “aRtIfIcAl AiMiNg MaChInE” thats something KBM should definitely not have.
There have been games without aim assist released on consoles before. Quake Arena comes to mind. It was attrocious. Everyone basically had no choice but to go for the BFG10K or rely entirely on splash damage weapons and shotgun spread because aiming was literally impossible.
There’s a reason team killing in Halo was always notoriously hard when you can’t surprise the teammate with a one hit kill while they aren’t moving or paying attention.
Aim assist doesn’t “do the work for you”. If you release the RS during a firefight you aren’t going to land your hits, because it won’t keep track of a target. All it does, is slow down your sensitivity when you are on a target and very briefly (like 2-3ms briefly) stick to them when they move. If you don’t manually micro-correct your aim you will lose your target easily, even in high aim assist titles like Halo 4.
Bullet Magnetism on the other hand is the game “aiming for you” basically it’s when your reticle is “close enough” so the game registers your shot even if it’s not directly on target. This feature is active on both controller AND KBM.
I feel like KBM players often forget that Halo was the beginning of controller shooters straying away from the full on autoaim days of games like Turok and Goldeneye. Opting for the more modern proximity sensitivity system.
The reason they don’t give KBM an aim assist system isn’t even just because it doesn’t need it, it’s because having aim assist on KBM feels awkward and serves to throw off your precision more than it does to help it. They experimented with it in both Destiny 2 and Halo MCC and in both cases they resolved that it makes aiming in KBM literally harder with it. Both D2 and Infinite also opted to give KBM less recoil on weapons, because adjusting for automatic reticle movement on KBM is also uncomfortable compared to control sticks, where you can just pull back a bit on your stick vs constantly needing to swipe the mouse downward. So weapons like the Commando and Sentinel Beam are particularly hard for controllers to handle, when oaired with the extremely small aim assist radius, but pretty cake for KBM since the recoil is very drastically lowered.
I was under the impression that M&K and Controller would never co-exist, unless with other parties that were mixed. Sad to see this isn’t the case. I was really hoping the simplicity of “controller only matches with controller” and vice versa for M&K was the best way to just side-step the whole argument.
Like, I have my own opinions but it’s hilarious to see both controller and M&K players call the other broken. One side is definitely less right than the other
I hope that, much like how there are so few playlists, this decision is based purely to get as much data packed into the beta as possible and that the full release next month will see some more “restrictive” shifts.
Delusional. It’s clearly a hot issue. So much so it was ADDED into MCC.
I agree and I definitely want 343 add the option to turn off crossplay or at least select the input for ALL multiplayers matches!
