so i spent the evening slogging thru swat games trying to rank up… With -Yoink- randoms so u kno how that goes. Have a crap game, decide to call it quits, I turn off my xbox as the outro vignette is playing. Check my rank on waypoint and I’ve gone from one game away from what should have been two games away from diamond 5, to one game away from diamond 4!!! Wtf dude. I mean I’m glad ppl are getting smacked for leaving in the middle of a game but the damn game was OVER! I’m so frustrated right now. And while I’m at it, u related, how many ppl I wonder voted for doubles and then signed in to play without a mic? Awesome.

Did you not leave the lobby before you turned your xbox off? I’ve heard if you don’t leave first it will put you in the next game and count it as a quit.
Quitting is quitting, if you quit you get the penalty. In the future just take a deep Sangheili breath and return to the main menu, then shut off your xbox.
Trust me, I know your pain, this happened to me too, except the 343 servers kicked me off right as the game ended.
