If you head to Bravo’s most recent Community Update (apparently posted from a charming German cafe) you can read a small description of an early Warzone prototype map built to help test the power core mechanic. This map was called the Alamo, and looking at the screenshot of the heavily placeholder-y map, you can see a Pelican gunship on the roof.

We don’t know if it made it into the final game yet. In fact, it’s unlikely given we’ve been told no UNSC air vehicle at launch. REQs are a whole other matter, but at some point during development, we know it was considered.
