Now as for this statement I’m incredibly disappointed due to the fact I’m a BTB player and would love this new addition.
OH MY GOD. Can we stop with this irrational Pelican clammoring?!
A Pelican or Phantom would BREAK Big Team Battle, and it would be POINTLESS. The Pelican is a troop transport, not a fighter jet! And even as a troop transport, it would be game-breaking if you could wait out the rest of a game by hiding an entire winning team in the top corner of the map.
Being in if for the coop and forge I would LOVE to see a flyable pelican. Don’t care one single bit if it’s in mm or not but forge and custom games yes please!
No need to bag on me. I was just giving an OP I’m not a hardcore player. Even if they we’re to add it they can always change things around to not make it “Game Breaking”

Yeah keep them out of MP but sure why not in, custom games
I wouldn’t mind if that was the case either. It’s just Halo Fans have been wanting to drive it and have it in an game mode since Halo 2.

people have been praying for pelicans to be drivable since the first halo ce trailer…

Unless I’m missing something on 343i’s Twitter, they haven’t said anything about a Pelican.

You know, it seems to me that people like you don’t even really read the original post. I see threads going “Wouldn’t it be cool if Pelicans were driveable?”, and people just flip out in irrational rage. Heck, sometimes, their arguments just boil down to “343 shouldn’t waste their time with this feature”.

Sorry guys for the confusion :/. Although now I can sleep since there still might be a possiblitly of it being able to fly :).
Orkunn is right. People are saying it would be cool, fun, awesome, etc… Don’t be a killjoy just because you don’t like the idea.

Wow, that fake account has over 2k followers. 0_o I can’t believe how many people fell for that when it’s obviously fake. I mean, it tells its followers to follow random people (it even knows the Grunt that was stalking OnyxTech :O).
If it isn’t in the game (I know the tweet was by a fake account), then that will make me sad since I never got to fly a Pelican cuz I never played Custom Edition, and I never perfected the New Alexandria easter egg.
The map size would have to be massive to support two pelicans, one for each team.
Spartan Ops will scratch this itch and more I’m sure. I’m thinking we’ll get deployed via pelicans etc quite a lot in Spartan Ops.
Maybe in multiplayer for the initial spawns they could have teams arrive in pelicans for drop off? Similar to Reach’s invasion they could also pick up the victorious team for dust off.
Imagine losing and having to watch your flag be taken away by pelican…fun.

lol, yeah. I wish Bungie made it to where you could board the Pelican when you completed you’re objective in Invasion Spire.
