Man, I like orion and pegasus. Fighting for hill control in swat makes that map awesome.

I agree with that as well. Rig is a really bad map.
I have no idea why 343 changed the map layout for Orion and Pegasus from the Beta. The design was better in the Beta, all they did was remove half the map for the final version.
I like Pegasus, feels closer to some older Halo maps. Can be frustrating though if you’re playing against a good team.

Lighting for one. reds seem to have an advantage on that map Red blends well with the lighting and shades of the walls. Also doesn’t have as many weapons on it as ther are on others maps. I still can’t find where the BR is. I pretty sure there is no DMR or Light rifle. Also despise the plasma caster.

I don’t know man, I’ve grown to like Pegasus. If you get it out of your head that you need to hold down ‘Red Spawn’ to win the map is actually fair balanced.

See for me, I think Ivory Tower was absolutely terrible. So much bad with that map, that might be the second worst H2 map after Backwash. The Rig is bad, but Plaza is okay, not the best, but it’s okay. Riptide is really bad. Midship and Truth provide you with the most open spaces where battles can happen without people being able to run away easily like in Ivory Tower, Rig, and Riptide.

The fact midship and truth are too open is what makes them terrible. You’re shot from every direction the moment you spawn.

When the whole map is designed for CQC, it is bad to me. All it does is increase the lack to movement on the maps. It helps people who made poor choices get away. Midship/Truth, if you make a poor decision, you will pay for it. Halo is known for it’s precision weapon gameplay.
Riptide and Rig is a campfest, nothing more.

well imo maps designed for CQC involve alot more map movement, i never have matches on the rig, plaza etc where people sit in one position all game. Open maps such as truth, people sit and camp with thier brs and just cross map all match, it’s terrible
Midship/truth dont allow you to move, you spawn and youre being hit from every direction, poor move or not.
Just because a map has cover and allows you to recover from a bad move doesn’t mean its a bad map, if you’re so good, you should be able to finish of said play who made said bad move.
Not sure what game youre playing if you say riptide and rig is a campfest, every time i play tose maps, every one is constantly moving.
