Peerless Warrior is an obscenely difficult challenge that should be removed

It’s not overly challenging. It’s the ultimate weekly so it should be more difficult than the regular weekly challenges. The amount of threads on here claiming an ultimate challenge is to challenging is ridiculous. Guess what, not everyone will be able to complete it, and that’s life. Not everything is a participation trophy. I’d be more understanding if you had to get 10 w/o dying as I’ve only managed that once, but complaining about 5? Unbelievable.

Yeah this hasn’t worked for me. Granted I have gone from an average of two kills per death to 3 on a very select few maps, but that said I haven’t been able to get a killing spree with this tactic. I keep getting ganged up on and that is usually when I get a third kill and almost a fourth but to many attackers and I have yet been able to get to camping spot with a sword or hammer due to someone on the other team had better luck than me and is already there.

I got a couple of killing sprees simply with the mangler. One of them was by flanking the enemy team at the start of the match and attacking from behind.

I’m pretty surprised I earned it at all.

There are a couple of weapon combinations that work for different players, but ultimately the best advice is that you’ll achieve it when you have a weapon combination that works for you.

I don’t agree that it should be removed. I just don’t think it’s fun. It’s do-able, just super unfun.

I got the challenge done in an hour. :man_shrugging:t2:

Just total. You can take as many matches as you need. It took me less than five, and I’m not exactly a beast when it comes to Halo.

You gotta grind for luck.
You can be the most skilled player but you can get fugged just by meeting an enemy team who just has Sword and Hammer and Rockets.

Even worse, your team may have Unga Bungas that decide to suicide their power weapons away, letting the enemy have them.

You have to grind for two factors:

  1. You get a good team which doesn’t feed the enemy team weapons
  2. You have to get consistent power weapon spawns

Another factor is if you spawn on Behemoth, because that map allows you access to the Chopper, Banshee and Ghost, which are all excellent killing machines if you’re good at piloting them.

Looking at these weekly challenges and the ultimate challenge. And the time I had this week to complete them. I normal work five to six days a week, I only worked four this week due to Thanksgiving. And up to Thursday day I had only been able to complete six challenges, Thursday to Saturday I was able to play between 7 to 10 hours. I got all the challenges done on Saturday after five hours, and had 5 hours left before I had to go to bed so I could get up for work today. After those 5 hours I managed to get one spree done. Looking back at it I won’t have 3 days to play all day to complete the challenges in order to get to the ultimate challenge. So I am looking at not being able to get the reward unless I have days off due to holidays. The only reason why I could get stuff in MCC seasons was because of how long the season went and even then I wasn’t able to unlock everything. Progress though the battle pass has only been good due to the xp boost I have due to the promotions. Which are almost gone. And I am only at level 26. Being an adult and needed to provide for my family gives little time to gaming and I have played Halo and been a fan since Halo CE came out in Nov, 2001. With this new challenge setup I won’t be able to get a whole done in the game. I guess the day has finally and regrettably has come to were I have to stop being a gamer has come, since I can no longer enjoy Halo to it fullest. And really don’t have the time to play.

Community: we want to earn our cosmetics through skill not money.
You: 5 killing sprees with rockets, hammers, swords, bouncy light bomb thingy is just too difficult.

Get good!

I say you are beast. Yesterday after getting the challenge, I was able to play 5 additional hours and manage to get one. Regrettably I won’t have to time to work on it until after it the next weekly starts. So I won’t be getting it. So bummed out. Don’t nearly have the time to play like I did when I was younger.

I like the skill deal, though I think they need to rethink some. A spree for me is hard enough. I played 5 hours and barely managed to get one spree. I don’t have the time to play all day ever day. Also the vehicle kills I tried but I only managed to get into a warthog and it was as the driver. I get close to a vehicle and a teammate or enemy just happens to have a grappleshot and get it before me. I have manage once just once to get to grappleshot hijack a vehicle other times the grappleshot is already taken. Then most of the time I get it I get killed shortly after. I guess I just don’t got the skill.

This challenge wasn’t difficult at all and requires that you use patience and map position once you get the right weapons.

Example: Spawn with Rockets, follow teammates until you get an opening for a kill, repeat.

Example 2: Spawn with Sniper or long range weapons, follow teammates and play support/clean up.

Example 3: Spawn with Sword/Hammer, use corners and look for flanking opportunities to get easy kills. Repeat.

It honestly took like 10 matches, but I understand it could take others more or less. Either way, if you follow halo fundamentals and don’t just rush into every fight then you’ll get them.

Thing is, challenges should be a challenge. Not ALL difficult but at least some.

The sad thing is, the easiest way to do the challenge is get rockets or a hammer and get campy.

I hate playing that way but it’ll be the quickest way to get the challenge.

That’s the real problem with these challenges - they make people play weird and unhelpful to the team not that they’re difficult.

After looking at past videos I can say if I played with friends or a good team on the other modes I could get a spree per game if not two. But than again I don’t have friends that play at the same time as me, since the beta been there has only be one day were I was able to play with one friend. And we played Fiesta but even than I didn’t get a spree. That being said I can get a spree in Fiesta but it takes a lot of time I got one after 5 hours, but that said I am adult and have a six day work week with long hours. I just don’t have the time to play that much to grind. Heck I am only at SR 147 in Halo 5 and I tend to play that every week and I play only Mythic Warzone. So for me I need the time to make up for my lack of skill.

It was kindof tedious but wasn’t exactly difficult. My experience is probably different than others though. There’s no question, game specific challenges shouldn’t be a thing while we can’t choose the game mode for the challenge. It’s all random chance whether we even get the game mode we want, and those vehicle specific challenges are obnoxious. Played like 10 games of big team so I could do a challenge for the chopper, never even saw a single chopper on my team or the enemy team’s. That stuff is not good

“Luck” is not something that should have such a huge emphasis on progression in the first place though.
