Right now Halo 4 has 88k playing. Black Ops 2 has 717k. How can people continue to pretend there is not a problem?
I’m surprised that it’s not like 10,000, for a bad game 88k ain’t awful.

first off, its double xp weekend.
second, COD has a higher fan basic.

Cause 343 already has our money and takes their time ruining the gaming franchise I love the most. In the mean time Im gonna enjoy me some double XP on Black Ops 2. Never thought I would say that

It’s a double xp weekend?! Damn - I might have to get on there now. Haven’t played in a while - is it also a Nuketown 24/7?

Where are you getting those numbers for black ops 2? If you count multiplayer it like 250,000, there is two counters the people in matchmaking and the people playing all together. Add up zombies, multiplayer, league and that should get you close to the real amount, considering you can’t count campaign.

So you’re saying Halo needs to be more like CoD huh.
So what - most of the people that like the game are playing it while the people that don’t are busy here. Compare that population…
I like how you guys continue to just ignore that CoD is the undisputed king of online play right now. Come to terms with it and the numbers will make sense.

I think we all know that. The reason is there is no competition anymore. Battlefield is just not as good on consoles as it is on PC and Halo has been going downhill since Reach. When people had real alternatives like Halo 3 and Rainbow Six it wasn’t THAT much more popular than everything. These numbers are just silly though. Halo 4 is already the 10th best selling 360 game of all time at almost 8 million copies. These are just bad numbers.
Halo 4 sold 3.8 million units in the first week, CoD sold 6.2 million.
It is literally impossible for Halo to pull the numbers CoD does. You can’t compare two games who have wildly different install bases and say one “has a problem” simply because it’s numbers aren’t as high.
Of COURSE it’s numbers aren’t as high, LESS PEOPLE BOUGHT THE GAME.
The only Halo game that came close to competing with the numbers of CoD was Halo 3. The first Modern Warfare was out for 2 months before it managed to take the #1 spot on MajorNelson’s activity chart. The two traded blows for a little while but eventually MW completely took over. It has been that way ever since.
Stop all of this population crap. Even after MS shuts down the servers Halo won’t be dead. People will still play the game one way or another. Also, the Halocharts thing only tracks PEAK users in War Games. Not SpOps, Forge, Customs, or Campaign. You have absolutely nothing to compare these numbers to since Bungie kept track of users over a 24 hour period and so on. Not just matchmaking.
Stop being all gloom and doom. Can you find a match? Awesome. Go play. Don’t like the game? Don’t play it.
> Don’t like the game? Don’t play it.
and so the flame war begins…again
Well…as long as there are enough people on Halo 4 for me to continue playing games i really dont care about the population difference. They could have a million. I really dont care if people like to play COD more than Halo. Just dont make me play it lol.

How is that flaming? I didn’t verbally assault anyone, it’s a simple fact of gaming. Why play something you don’t like? You can spend your time doing something you do like while waiting for changes.

your not but after someone reads that YOU will be. good luck

I -Yoinking!- loathe this argument.
I have absolutely had it with people pulling this in every -Yoinking!- thread concerning Halo 4’s population.
Of course COD is more popular right now, but for any game to lose 75% in only the first two months after release is very, very bad. Halo 4 started with roughly 400k players, and is now 100k at most and still dropping. There is/are obviously a problem (s) that need (s) to be fixed if that many people are unsatisfied. Saying “don’t like it, don’t play it” means you are okay with absurdly low populations in a AAA game.
And just so you know, the campaign/Sparton Ops/other players are irrelevant right now. Multiplayer matchmaking is the main attraction of Halo.
Note: Forgive me if you feel like I’m attacking you. I needed to speak my mind.

my point…
OP doesn’t have proof of black ops 2 numbers. Please provide proof.

It says how many players are online when you click multiplayer.

he asked for proof not where you “found” it

Take a screenshot of black ops 2 and post it alongside halo 4. Anyone can come online on a forum and make a statement without proof.
