PC window never shows

I’ve never had this issue before, but now when I launch Halo MCC through steam, there is no window. I hear all sounds and can hear that if I touch keyboard keys, UI is being interfaced with.

When I alt+tab I see Halo Master Cheif collection but there’s no window contents draw to the alt+tab menu. It’s like the window is just not there. I normally run in full screen. Is there some way to force windowed mode at least? Alt+enter didn’t work. Maybe I can mess with some settings and fix it. At least if I could run windowed borderless mode. Maybe some command line params?

OK, on my like 20th attempt alt+enter worked and I got the game to be in windowed mode and I repaired my settings. I made sure to click the start bar icon for Halo a few times and that seemed to make input properly go into the game to make alt+enter work.

This may have happened because I reinstalled windows 10 on top of a new PC build and all my apps were left intact but Halo’s settings must’ve been messed up a bit.

Now full screen on my original monitor works again after I set the settings up.
