I know it says xbox 360 exclusive, but has their been any thought whatsoever about a PC version? I really don’t understand why after the success of the first Halo on PC which is still actually mildly popular to this date that they took it away from the PC platform. I think with the new Halo, bringing it back to the PC platform would provide a huge boost in sales because we (PC Gamers) have not have the chance to get our hands on Halo in a while. I don’t get into the whole pc fanboy VS console fanboy BS, but how can you go wrong putting out a game title on the ultimate game platform? When it comes to a PC you got the best of the best as far as graphics , cpu, and playability. I put this out as a challenge to the developers. Let’s see what your game can really do.
Halo CE for the PC was a success and that’s why they made Halo 2 Vista. Sadly, the reactions to H2:V meant that we’ll probably never see another Halo game on PC again.
I want Halo 3 on PC. If only to complete my PC collection… Not too fussed on H4 as I have my Xbox.

I hate people like you in this community, if the PC community asks for a PC release of Halo 4, then let them, let Microsoft say yay or nay, not you guys.

That’s Microsoft’s fault for making a Halo game for Vista, and vista only.

Agreed, if Halo 2 for the PC was made for XP and newer, the game would of been more popular.

- Halo 2 failed on PC, and MS does not like Failures no matter why
- The PC community ain’t good customers, piracy is a every day problem and MS does not like giving away stuff for free.
- Porting the game to PC would cost MS, MS does not like to spend money
- The PC community got a ton of other shooters, Halo is neither special nor popular on PC compared to BF, TF2 or similar.
- Releasing the game for PC would split the community (PC vs consoleS) and lower the 360 sales, hence the gold subscriptions and probably even the console-sales.
- Halo is one of the few 360-exclusive titles owned by MS, most "360 exclusive titles are released for PC after a while, or even Ps3, and hence MS has a harder time selling consoles.

PC gamers aren’t the only games that get pirated, Xbox games get hit as well. Also, PC gamers are one of the best customers if the game is more fordable, easily bought. Steam has proven to be one of the best ways to sell games with out them being pirated.

More split than it is already? You got part of the community that’s leaving Halo 4 because they don’t like it, you got parts of the community that wants Halo CE’s MP on Xbox LIVE, Halo 2’s MP back online. And then there’s the Halo PC community, people who would pay to play Halo 4 on their PC, and doesn’t want to buy a Xbox.

Because most of the people here want to keep thinking that Halo is special, holy, and can never be allowed to leave the Xbox. They just want to feel special.

Sounds like selfishness to me, which I have another name for people who think that way, but last time I used it, I got in some major trouble. Personally I would LOVE to see Halo make it as a dual platform game with dual releases, I would love to see 343i push the Halo Engine for both the new Xbox and the PC. But if they stick to the Xbox, you can only do so much with Hardware that doesn’t update.

The ironic part of it is that, I’m willing to bet, most of the people against it are the same people who hate CoD and want it to lose in comparison to Halo 4. Yet not allowing Halo 4 to go to the PC only lowers the potential sales. While I hope Halo 4 gets to the PC, I don’t think it’s going to be anytime soon, most likely at least a year later.

You aren’t a very good example of a console gamer yourself. Every game, every system has mature and immature fans. The Xbox has tons of immature fans that act the way you described, and so does the PC. You can’t change that, you can’t stop people from acting the way they do, and if you can’t accept that then you’re an ignorant fool.
There’s no logical reason why not.
Anyone else find it incredibly ironic that Microsoft practically owns the computer industry, yet hardly ever releases video games on the platform they are known for? Its all up to Microsoft, and Microsoft still sees Halo as the Xbox’s crown jewel and wants everyone to think Microsoft and the Xbox when they think Halo.

Not really bro as i said you diden’t see bf3 forums many people saw there true colors there i took it in the bf3 forums but this is halo god i don’t want that happening again everytime we would ask the developer for something we would always get shut down by the pc community and also how are you going to tell me who i am you are the ignorant fool for calling someone a ignorant fool i said no offence to the respectful pc gamers but you are prolly one of the many person’s im calling out.

Hmmmmmmmm… I can say the same about this community, just by looking at the threads in this forum board. PC gamers aren’t the only ones who act like “spoilded little children when there fps’s don’t go there way”, that’s Gamers in general, if you don’t believe me, do a search on this forum board for “Halo 4 and COD” and you’ll see I’m right.
