Now I know there will most likely never be another Halo game on PC (sadly), but seeing as the Xbox One architecture is very similar to that of a PC and Halo 1, 2, 3, 4 are being ported to Xbox One (I think), surely it wouldn’t be too hard to put the Master Chief collection on PC. I for one would love this and would buy it even if it was £60.
Anyway, back to the question. Would you buy a PC version of Halo: The Master Chief collection? Any thoughts, just say what you think in the comments.
To be honest, no. The main community will be on Xbox One, and my group of friends and family will be getting it on there if anywhere. As little as I actually play console games anymore, I’m definitely going to be buying the X1 for this.
No because I plan on supporting the console that Halo was always intended to be played on.
As far as I know, Halo 2 PC was only ever released to try and bring people to buy the failing Vista operating system, and I wager Spartan Assault was created for the Windows 8 OS for more or less the same reason (Though Win8 seems to be better than Vista was anyway shrugs)
If the MCC was available for the PC, what incentive would people have to buy the X1 hm? Why would anyone bother?

Syl took the words out of my mouth.
No. I’m gonna stick with consoles.
I would buy both the Xbox and PC version for two reasons. #1 I have friends on both systems, and both sets of friends love Halo. #2 I would LOVE to see another Halo game with custom maps that are more than just Forge.
No, I don’t have a good enough computer to run it and I’m too cheap to get one when I already have an Xbox One. :I
I would buy the PC version because eventually the console servers will be shut down. The Halo 2 servers were already cut off once with the transition from xbox to xbox 360. I fully expect the xbox one servers to be shut down when the next version of xbox is released. The shut down of the xbox one servers won’t happen for a while, but it will happen. If the game is on PC I can choose to play it whenever I want provided I can find other players and there isn’t any sort of bs windows live attached to it.
I’ve always been a console gamer anyway. Controllers FTW.

Cheers to that ^.^
Why do people not want a PC version?
Seriously why not?
high refresh rates (120hz, 144hz), better fps controls, better custom maps, mods and a bigger competitive player base.
inb4 human eye can’t see above 60fps
I love Halo, I would totally support the game on any platform.
BUT… This is Xbox’s flagship title of the year, a system seller and more importantly Microsoft’s number one franchise.
It won’t appear on PC, more than likely it never will.
If it’s going to be ported to Linux, then Microsoft can take my money like Hyena’s eating an Elephant.
However, it would almost certainly be a Windows 8 exclusive.
In that case, no thanks.
Don’t Microsoft realize that they could have the console AND PC markets buy the game and make more money anyway
> Don’t Microsoft realize that they could have the console AND PC markets buy the game and make more money anyway
Not by much, they wouldn’t. Halo on the PC means less people bothering to get the X1. Which results in a lot less money. And if by some chance the MCC comes to the PC, what then? When Halo 5 rolls around, people will demand that it be ported to the PC as well “because the MCC was on PC so there’s no excuse”
Face it, Halo’s always been a console game. That’s not going to change anytime soon.
While we are speaking of things that will never happen, I’d take Halo MCC on the Mac
Face it, Halo is one of Microsoft’s “killer apps”.
They use it when they need to push units of a technology. They used it to sell the original xbox, the 360, and now the xbox one. They used Halo 2 to try and sell Vista, and Spartan Assault to try and push the Windows phone and Windows 8.1.
Right now they don’t need to promote Windows Gaming, it’s doing quite healthy on it’s own.
What they do need to push is the XBox One in their competition with the PS4, and therefore you will not see Halo on the PC in the foreseeable future.
No, I have Macs so have never been into PC gaming. I can’t use a keyboard and mouse. Cheating on PC games is much more rampant than on a console.
although I love my masterful PC to death, I would probably still purchase an X1 and play it on there because I am better with a controller than I am with a mouse and kb… I know the game would come with controller support for pc, but it wouldn’t be the same.
Once more details get dropped on the ranking system for Halo:MCC , I will be buying an xbox one.
