A PC version of the Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary edition won’t be a surprise, with one of the developers, Saber Interactive, confirming that the engine of the game is capable of running on the PC with minimum modifications.
Hopefully it will be a decent port. I played the crap out of the Halo: CE demo and the full game when I was younger, as well as on the original Xbox. So many good memories. High school was a blast during computer class.

My entire high school has laptops. And about 90% of the students in the school still have the PC port on all of them, every chance we get it’s Halo: CE multiplayer across the entire school. Pretty amazing.

Wish my school was that awesome…

Yeah, the school sucks, but we like to waste money on $650 laptops just to use MS word. So Halo is a natural plus side.
I really hope this happens soon, seriously, i loved that game on Xbox 360, and now on my PC! I’m hyped!!!
If it did come, and it had the same community support of Custom Edition, I’d get it without a second thought.
Halo: Combat Evolved and Halo: Custom Edition are not the same thing and while you are probably aware of that did you know Bungie are not to thank for Custom Edition. No, that would be Gearbox (Half-Life: Opposing Force, Borderlands, yeah that Gearbox) who deserve the thanks as they handled the PC port and included the original Custom Edition HEK and additional maps/weapons.
Now with this realization in mind, consider that neither Bungie nor 343i have ever given us a proper Editing Kit. Halo Online is currently our best bet for new Halo experiences on the PC.
