Soo I’ve played every flight 343i has thats been public or invite only. And I got to say I’m loving how this is shaping up a few things needs to be tightened up but loving it. But is it just me or are PC players hitting some crazy shots like cross map sidekick shots, while we controller users are struggling to hit mid to long range with the sidekick. we need aim assist and bullet magnetism. (I’ve been posting this everywhere lol) and I can tell when it’s a pc player just the way they look around and how “snappy” they are. Is it just me?
The controller look sensitivity is really really slow, but the same settings on PC M&K are way faster. Like, way, faster. Even comparing the look sensitivity speeds on controller in Infinite to other crossplay games on console, it’s slow even compared to those. It’s just really slow. I just want to be able to turn around and aim reasonably quickly, is that really too much to ask for on console? Why is it limited to such slow sensitivity?
In Black Ops 4 the battle royale mode, the aim assist sharply fell off after 25 meters, I hope that’s not true for this Halo game. Destiny 2 has aim assist falloff depending on a weapon’s range stat, but in that game the maps are all pretty small so it’s not a big problem.
Cross Play should be optional once Infinite releases. So you can choose not to participate in that player pool. The PC Version is fundamentally different in terms of balancing(actually not balanced).

Really really hope we can have an option because they just move different

It feels like there is a drop off an a extreme one especially with the sidekick. But I understand especially with the sidekick, it’s not trying to be like the halo 5 pistol but still there’s a drop off or it feels like that
343 really built this game for PC it feels like. Consoles are getting screwed over. Im on the original xbox one and my gawd is it terrible. Can’t shoot anyone but they can kill you in 2 shots. When nearly every match ends I have to dashboard quit and boot it back up to play another game.

Yes!! It really does feel like that! It’s sad because I’m a og halo fan and been playing on the Xbox. Sorry to hear man I’m playing on the Xbox series s but soon to be on the halo Xbox series x
I spent last week’s beta playing on my Series X and on my 4K tv.
This week I am on the road for work so I am on my alienware gaming laptop.
Bottom line, I’m smoking these folks on the PC side versus the Xbox. At this point cross play probably needs some balancing done because there is no comparison especially in my performance.
I try no to think about it, but hope we can turn off cross-play.
I´m sure PC XBOX balancing on the same scale is like adding apples and oranges in a math problem
From a technical standpoint, this feels like a console port on PC. I just hope they find a balance for each platform, making crossplay an option so that you can play either version of it. Dont feel like they are gonna do that though.
If PC People destroy you now, wait what happens when they fixed the mouse aim and the input delay. I still think that cross play can only ruin any shooter experience.
Its nice to play with everyone but the balance will always suffer on one or the other platform.

Thank you for the honesty. This forum seems to always have 1 thread by a PC player saying console players on Infinite have loads of aim assist trying to get controller players nerfed even heavier. Appreciate the honesty!

Dang! Insane! I don’t see why they wouldn’t have a option to not do cross platform because I can’t deal with these pc players lol

I think a good balance would be, for ranked playlists having the option to disable crossplay. For social, it can be crossplay all the time.

I don’t mind this but I would just like a option to not do cross play

Does not compute. I’m on PC and me and my friends all use controller

I’m sure when we’ll get some kind of balance.
Destiny 2 has a great crossplay feature where all PVE content is crossplay. All PvP content is optional for crossplay.
yes, more aim assist is needed on xbox controller
You’re right, cross-play balancing is terrible right now. I mostly do input based matchmaking even on mcc, but in infinite crossplay is just not even an option for me as it is.
Every precision weapon feels like a sniper in aim assist.
Sidekick rate of fire needs to be physically possible to keep up with on gamepad
I’m playing on PC with a controller and doing very well. PC players aren’t gods, you just need to hit your shots which I do with consistency.
