Also a stuttery unplayable mess on my 3090, 5950x system irrespective of graphics settings.
I played for about 5 minutes before work on my system with 3900X and 2080 ti but performance was great for me.
Anyone on High Core count Ryzen should also try using Game mode in Ryzen Master Software to limit things to 1 CCX as using multiple has been known to create performance issues in other games.
For me its the opposite. I had 40-50 fps on the last flight on all resolutions. This time I get 89-90 fps on 1440p. But the performance doesn’t seem to increase if I go to 1080p. It actually decreases. I had 60 fps after that. Going back to 1440p gave me 70-75 fps less fps than before. And on 4K I got 55fps all the time. On 1080p and 1440p the gpu isn’t being used that well, only on 4k. I have a Ryzen 5 5600X and a RX 6900 XT.

I’m having some weird performance too, on my laptop (Ryzen 7 5700H & RTX 3070) Im getting at most 47fps on lowest settings 1080p, I tried to load it up on my desktop (i9 9900k and 3070) and my desktop without fail keeps bluescreening, I’m gonna try take off all my overclocks that are stable every where else to see if that helps
RX580 over here and it’s painful.
Gonna update some drivers and check again
Edit: It was a PEBCAK on that one. They specifically mention: “PC players using an AMD GPU must have graphics drivers at version 21.6.1 or later to avoid significant performance and stability issues.”
I ran some old crusty driver from early 2020 lol

This game on pc still seems very unoptimized. I really hope they change it on the next upcoming flight which is on the 30th.
Hey Guys!
Im I got the verified for this flight too but can someone of you tell me how to download the game client for pc? I already downlaoded it on my Xbox but still have no clue what to do for the pc version
I tried out game mode on Ryzen Master- thanks for the advice. It did help matters, but frames still seem a bit off. I’m just glad to be playing to be honest.

Removing all of my Overclocks seemed to help, upon further inspection the game seems super CPU intensive, it was Pegging all 8 cores to 100% utilization, which might have led to my crashes. I’m also experiencing some intense frame time issues now going from 100fps to 20fps, I tried limiting it to 60 but same thing
I’m having a bottle neck on my i9 and I don’t even know how that’s possible, anyone having similar issues with high end hardware? My 3070 is at like 60% and my i9 9900k is pegged at 100%

The game is designed to take full advantage of CPU. Remember that the SOC used in the Xbox Series consoles actually has a very powerful 8 core CPU so it’s no surprise that an i9 from a few generations ago would be pushed to the limit.
What frame rate are you getting out of curiosity? We have similar specs as I have a 3900X and a 2080ti and I’m getting about 70fps at 4K Ultra.
Between 20 and 144 and 1440p, the problem is that it’s bottlenecking the CPU and the 1% lows are atrocious, same thing to be said about by laptop with a 5700h and a 3070, even though the laptop 3070 is significantly less powerful and the 5700h performs similarly to the desktop i9
The performance is decent for me but any social arena game I play, I get stutters and it feels awful. Only social, not bot or academy modes. I get around 80-90fps on mostly low settings.
100% GPU, ~50% CPU, 35% RAM
i7 7700k OC@4.8Ghz
RTX 2080S
32GB RAM
1440p ultrawide 120hz
Following this thread. I have a brand new ROG Zephyrus with Ryzen 9 5900 and RTX 3070 and I have the same issue with the game pegging my CPU and throttling down my GPU to on 240 Mhz. I get barely 30 fps on this laptop. Meanwhile I booted up my Desktop this morning and it ran at a locked 60 FPS(monitor refresh rate) with an i5 7600K and Radeon 5600xt. Must be something with the optimization, no matter what I have tried I can’t get it to utilize the GPU more.

Just double checked the beta again with both my AMD software open and my Armoury Crate open and the AMD software shows 99% AMD GPU usage and this time it put the RTX in power saver mode. When I boot up Warzone the AMD shows 30-35% utilization of the AMD GPU and runs the RTX at boost clocks. Clearly Halo is trying to default to the AMD iGPU even though I have the 3070 selected in game.
